I've never realized what a big deal these were until the other day. I was on my way to the bank yesterday and noticed that there was a new store called BevMo! opening up next door. I was really surprised by the whole affair since the radio station was there blasting really loud rock music, there was people loitering around the parking lot chatting and waiting for the place to open up and there was this really long line wrapped around the building. The only time that I have seen a line that long was during Black Friday. People were generally having a good time. So, my question is have you ever gone to a store's grand opening and is it always like this?

I won't go to a grand opening. At least not in my country. That's because when there is a grand opening, there are low prices and different promotions, so everybody wants to go. This means an over crowded place, and I don't like to step on others shoes.
Check this video to see how a grand opening takes place in my country:

I could just imagine. It sounds like the Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving holiday here in the US). There are so many people out at times like 5 in the morning. There's a lot of pushing and shoving, people being very rude and so on. It's a major disaster. Something that I'm avoiding from now on. And thanks for sharing the link to the video. It's pretty crazy.
