I used to love to read but now I have a young child and find it so hard to find time to read.
My favourite books are suspense and fantasy.

I really like reading romance novels. Also sci-fi, horror, fiction, and history. I've recently got into reading books about vampires. I don't know why I find them so exciting. I love the Anne Rice novels. She's a great author. Her writing is so deep. I also love Stephenie Meyers twilight series and her novel The Host.

i think this is one of the most difficult questions i have to answer. that's because i'm a certified "bookworm". i love books. i'm addicted to books and to narrow it down to a few of my favorites blows my mind into pieces.
well, i'll try to share the names of the books that comes to mind. to start of, i'll give you books that i grew up with, my ultimate favorites. the jason bourne series of the late robert ludlum. i think that's how i got into espionage or spy thriller. most of my classmates in freshman year are all going gaga over Sweet Valley High or Sweet Valley University while i spend my time biting my nails over a copy of the Bourne Identity. after reading the bourne ultimatum, which was the last book in that series, i had to cure my depression with another favorite series of mine, The Jack Ryan series of Tom Clancy, another spy thriller master. never missed a book in that series. these are my all time favorites and i made sure that i collected all the books in these series.
next in my list are the random books that i either picked up in the bookstore or was referred to me by some of my book lover friends. these are: paradise and perfect by judith mcnaught; icon by frederick forsythe; the notebook and the wedding by nicholas sparks; outlander by diana gabaldon and of course, the harry potter series by jk rowling. again, these are just a few that i could mention. i'll probably take forever if you want me to list down every one of them. lol!

I enjoy reading. horror novels are usually at the top of my list. Historical romances are also something i like to read. Reading is one of the best ways to fill our lives. If i find something that captures my interest, i will read it.

Where on earth do I start?
I'll start with a children's book that was my favourite 50 years ago and that I still love - 'Secret Garden' by Frances Hodgson Burnett.I still have a VERY well thumbed copy of this book that my godmother ( the angel who introduced me to the wonders of the written word) bought me 50 years ago!!
I cannot believe that it is half a century since I first opened the pages of that little gem of a book.Recently I decided that it was about time I re-read my book ( yet again), for although classed as children's fiction I still find it a good book for an adult, in fact adults are better suited tounderstand some of the issues that arise in the book.
Then I go on to another author that the same godmother introduced to me - Daphne Du Maurier.
My VERY favourite book is Rebecca by Du Maurier, just hearing that line -"Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again" gives me goose bumps!!
I just LOVE this book. I first read it as a young teenager, many years ago, after my godmother introduced me to Du Maurier's work and I was immediately hooked.
It is a book that I return to over and over again.
If you have not read 'Rebecca', I envy you, you cannot unread the books you have read. You have all that mystery ahead of you, you are about to be completely and utterly absorbed in one of the best stories I have ever read.
Don't read 'Rebecca' expecting to read a classic love story, because that is not what it is. 'Rebecca' IS about love, both past and present, but it is also a thriller, dark, almost Gothic, creepy but most of all intriguing.
After the initial haunting, atmospheric words the beginning of the book does not hint at the story that lies ahead of you.
I also love thrillers and I love the works of Harlan Coben. The plots of his books usually involve resurfacing of unresolved actions from the past like murders, fatal accidents, etc.
Coben manages to create believable and yet interesting characters and to put them into situations that would seem far-fetched at best with less keenly detailed characters His books are generally fast moving and very entertaining.
I am generally not a big fan of thrillers - Just One Look I think is my favourite so far of his (but it is VERY hard to choose) it had me guessing until the very end.
The plot is enormously full of twists and turns, but is so well written and such a gripping read that the complexities don't slow the story down in any way they're just part of the mystery and they carry on right to the end of the story.
I could go on and on and on there are just so many wonderful books out there!!

the first book I think I read was a sweet valley book, so I was pretty much interested in love stories then. Then I came across a nancy drew book, got interested in adventure and detective themed books. But now, I'm liking the Sidney Sheldon type of books, that has its own world and has a good and exciting way of telling a story. There's love, action, mystery and drama. I also go for the horror novels.

I can go on and on and on...But I'd be nice and just say my absolute, favorite book of all time. It's "I, Lucifer" by Glen Duncan. This book is just so witty! And funny. And Mr. Duncan has done the impossible by making Lucifer likable and cool. lol!
