For me, Pride is the most expendable virtue there is.. it is one of the 7 dangerous sins and yet it is often found in most of us.. Some say that Life is boring without pride, i say that its a lot better without one. The popular singer Alanis Morriset described it as a jagged little pill... because its is sizeless , odorless, and tasteless but it remains to be one of the most difficult thing to swallow in this world. What do you think about this? What are your thoughts on Pride?

i have two concepts of pride in mind while i was thinking about your post. one is the pride lacking humility and the other is the kind of pride when we are just happy to be achieving something. i can be proud of my family. i take pride in being able to bring inspiration to others and in the hard work i put in to make a decent living. it's a matter of proper judgement or how we use pride in our lives that makes it a sin or not. overdoing it can reap negative effects too.
pride, being the root of some evil and wrongdoing, has also its positive effects at some point. if you have too much pride and you lost your friends, you will thereafter realize what happened and learn to humble yourself for the better. if you have too much pride in a relationship and you ended up losing your partner, you will regret (even if you don't admit)having had that decision and wouldn't do the same and try to improve next time. if you are proud of having a lovely daughter who can perform at two years old, it's just appreciation for all the good things life has to offer.
