anyone heard about oDesk???

Has anyone tried working in oDesk? I have tried submitting few applications but were all declined. I hope someone can share their experience with the site.

Hi. You are right. Its really hard to get a project in Odesk when you are new.I was declined too. Most employer preferred has experience and Odesk history. I tried some test and passed them. But never been active anymore.

That is my problem, too. Most of the employers requires at least a rating of 3.

hi,hpalm! I triedlong time a go,but looks very hard to win a project there!And you're allowed to bid to only 2 or 3 projects per month,as I remember.Try freelancer,I thin is better than odesk!I hope that my answer help you!Happy lotting!

Thank you for the suggestion. I am trying it now and is still getting familiar with the site. Hopefully, I can get projects from this site.

i have been getting projects at Odesk for the past 4 years. At the time, I started, it was really easy to land a project or assignment, but for the past year, competition has been really tough, as there are a lot of providers offering services for less than a dollar per hour. Just try applying, complete your profile, take the odesk test, submit a good cover letter stating your skills. Good luck on your job hunting!
