Why is it in our society as soon as something is donned "cool", do we oversaturate the market with it. Or our media. Why is it exactly news that Britney Spears Is a Bad RoleModel/Parent who is divorcing her rapping husband. Who cares and once again why is it news?

Many of us are influenced by the celebs. For example, the Fashion industry is mainly generated by what the "stars" are wearing.
People want to be just like them. They want to have the lastest fashions, the newest technologies and their lifestyle.
Any news/gossip brings us closer to the celebs. We get a better truth that they are real and have faults too.

I am not disagreeing with you, yes it is cool to know famous people have their flaws. All I'm saying is that there should not be a "keeping tabs" segment about celebrities in local news shows, especially if you live in Midtown, U.S.A. It can be on something like an entertainment show not my news show, u know? Thanks for commenting it is definitely cool to see some one responded.
