I know this will likely get deleted but this is twice this week that I feel like I have been duped by someone posting tasks. Most task creaters if you complete the task will reward you what was promised. But some I have found try to trick you. Both times I was duped it was referral tasks so they get the referral and their reward and I get nothing! One refused my task because they claimed I did not sign up at their refferral site which I did and responded to their mail and told them so and they never responded at all to me!! The other was to sign up to another refferal site with specific directions to the tasks as always but one of the steps is to copy and paste your email comfirmation, one that you never recieve, I emailed the referral site they don't send them so it is impossible to finish the steps so he gets the referral and once again I get nothing!! I will no longer be doing tasks for referrals unless the member is known to me. What are you supposed to do if you feel that you've been duped by members posting tasks? Is there anyway we can check on their reliablity first? All I can say is be careful who you do tasks for!!!

In my opinion if anyone dupes us we must create a thread & disclose his/her id & task in which he/she duped us so other members get warned & think twice before accepting his/her task....this will discourage others to do such fraud.

I think thats a good idea but I don't know if MyLot would allow it. It would likely get deleted.

I was looking to see if this was already addressed and came across your thread. I was not referred to a "referral" site per say but to a site that wanted me to purchase a product. I was asked to simply re-type the title but with each word being changed to a capital letter. I was then asked to copy the http address and post it. I did both things as well as re-copy (as instructed) the link provided for by the Mylot Task.
Today I had an email from Mylot Task stating my task was rejected because I had typed the title correctly. When I tried to respond it said the person had to be my friend to respond. I went to the profile to send a friend request and at the top of their page it stated that profile had no activity for the last 60 days. I had no one to report it to because it came from a person on here marked Mylot Task.
Needless to say it has marked me negatively and a lot of the tasks out there require you to have a good rating in tasks to even attempt them. And it wasn't even for that much money, only five cents. It is just incredibly frustrating and I shall not be attempting any more tasks as I feel it is a waste of my energy.

This happened to me recently, of all the tasks I have performed and completed. This one asked to write a comment on blog and provide URL where the comment was placed.
Pretty simple right, well I can visit the blog to date and my comment a really nice one too, is still there, so tell me why the member rejected my task.
It does no good to contact admin as I did and to date never heard back. I also friended the task creator, he accepted my friend request, but never replied to my email. So HA! talk about fraud, for a mere 3cents. You would think that members on myLot would understand and be courteous to us all who so avidly try to earn a few cents.

Yes, this really sucks! The task I did for both was to sign up to sites, and I have signed up and can still sign in, the first claims I didn't sign up although I sent him all the info he requested, and the second asked for email confirmation which they don't send, so I couldn't complete the task. They were both to earn referrals for them so they are just tricking people into getting referrrals.
It is not the fact that they duped me a few cents but they are probably duping others as well and they wasted my time. That is time I could have been spending responding to others or posing my own discussions. I hate dishonesty in people.
Someone here said that they are not allowed to post tasks for that so I'll be reporting everyone I see from now on. I will just be very carefull from now on who I do tasks for.
