My fiancee and I talking about great specifications of computers and he said it's a lot better if your specs is awesome then you can play work surf watch video better.I told him I think it will be alright if the specs is not that really good as long I am connected but I do agree that it's much more better to surf if everything is really perfect. So are you concern about it or it's just alright as long your connected to the internet?

I am very concerned about specs. Really, the computer I use now is pretty awful for European standards.
I will be making a lot of money from December on and then I will save money for a Dell Alienware laptop they're the creme de la creme of the laptops. :)
We're speaking 8 GB ram. 250 GB hard disk drive... newest video card... big monitor... and a luvly design!
:D
But they're over 2000 dollars :D lol

well i just bought my computer 5 months ago. i always like my computers to last more than 5 years with good performance even if he cannot handle new games anymore.
i dont really like buying computers that often. its a waste of money and everything.

I often care about the specs of my computer, as I'm demanding about it's general performance. Of course, the better motherboard you get, the more RAM, the more hard disk space will give you better results, but the question is if it's worth really.
It's pointless and a waste to buy the lastest hardware to just check mails for example, while an older one will do perfectly. On the other hand, buying somewhat more than the bare minimum get some margin for software expansion without adding more hardware.
So, before recommending anything, I like to question: "what will be the main use of the computer?". If you say, to just surf internet, then I would say not to the newest models, and a more modest computer will do it well, as internet speed is mainly based on your connection. But if you like last generation games, then you'll need to spend a lot more on recent hardware.
