High Preformance SUV's

A new type of car has entered the market, the crossover. Basically the concept is a cross between a coupe and an SUV. But is the idea inherently flawed? Or is it a game changer? Thoughts? Is it a stupid concept or would you buy one? If you would buy one, what would you envision using it for?

I don't like SUVs since I have no use for them and are too expensive. Plus, I could never find a parking spot for them. I'd get a coupe because I think they look nice...now the "hybrid" must be away from my taste in cars so I'll go with "no". I think that SUVs are only for people with massive egos or people that go off-road on a regular basis. And most people that buy SUVs fall in the first category.
