How important is the past?

No I feel the past is just that past. If someone chooses to tell me their past then I often find it interesting, but I judge people as I find them and will enjoy them today not for their past. Of course if they have some dangerous past not knowing might not be a wise choice on my part.

i think it is very important. we will not have a now and a morrow without the past. what i am now is a fruit of the past. how i think and act on situations and conditions is a product of my past. i would not be a better person without the past.

Personally, I don't think a person's past is very important at all. Many people have skeletons in their closet that they are not proud of, including myself. Communication and honesty is what I find the most important in any relationship that I find myself in. However, there are somethings that need to be brought up in the very beginning, such as criminal history.

past is important but you should not live at it until the present. i mean, you don't have to be trapped in the past. your concern you always be at the present (and future). a relationship would perfectly go well if you know each others' past. because somehow, it reflects the present you. and when you know each others' past and know the relevant people in the past, you'll never be so surprised or shock when you meet those "relevant people of the past". trust is important guys.

YES it's very essential coz you can never know the guy completely if you don't know about his past. This helps you to understand what he's been through in life. It's a part of him that can never be take out, and a part of him which you should be ready to accept if it's something negative. BUT DON'T base your relationship about his past, and DON'T judge him for whatever he has done coz you don't have the right to do so... ACCEPT him, if you really love him, and move on, keep moving forward with him coz that's what really matters- your PRESENT! ^_^
