So what are your guys' thoughts on Black Ops?

What is Black Ops?

I think that they have improved the game engine a lot since Call of Duty 5, and they have learned from Infinity ward's mistakes on Modern Warfare 2. Hopefully the hit detection has improved from Treyarch's previous attempt, an from the looks of the trailers it has. The AI multiplayer seems like a good idea, so that players have a place to practice and become better. The customization in Black Ops also looks stellar and very, for a lack of a better word, customizable.

I think it's gonna be amazing! They have completely revamped and updated the old cod 5 engine, and they have added so much new content and so many new features into this call of duty installment than ever before. From cod 5 to Mordern Warfare 2, there wasn't anything very new really. All I can think of was a few new killstreaks like the chopper gunner, AC130 and care packages, and the throwing knife. Nothing else. With Black Ops, they are adding a completely new kind of weapon, the crossbow, which looks awesome btw. They are also adding a completely new and different killstreak, the RC car which is also awesome, and they are adding HUGE additions to the game itself, such as wager matches, the ofline multiplayer combat training mode thing, proper character customization, clan customization, an in-game money system, a contract system to go with it, etc. And of course, what so many people have always anticipated... Wait for it... THE THEATRE MODE! Many people have wanted this for so long, including me, and now pretty much anyone can make a montage, and you know when you get an amazing kill or killstreak and just didn't have anything to record it with, or didn't have your recorder turned on? That is no longer a problem with the theatre mode :D It's going to be just like Halo when making movies, and it is simply awesome :) For the people who don't like Treyarch because of cod 5, relax and forget about cod 5. This game is going to be completely different, and it's set in almost modern times. It feels slightly more modern than Modern Warfare 2 in many ways anyway. You won't really notice much difference in the time setting from call of duty 4 and call of duty: Black Ops.

I don't care so much about zombies but I am hoping they will improve some of the multiplayer aspects. Which by the look of some of the videos and articles it seems like it will be improved quite a bit. Also I like how there will be more customization options I really like the idea of that. Also I like the theater idea they are bringing. It seems like some pretty cool videos will be able to be made with that. Also, it looks like there will be some cool new things in single player like flying a helicopter. I think it looks like it will be a pretty good game.

I think Black Ops will be a great game. The zombies, I heard the the Hardened and Prestige edition will have the zombie maps from Call of Duty World at War. I also think that even if you get the regular version, you will most likely still get one zombie map. Personally I think the multi-player will be better then the zombies.
