How are you all?! I have read that its teachers week starting today, Oct 4 and we ought to celebrate our teachers who have been part of what we are today. Honestly speaking... I agree! We have had a lot of teachers in our lives, academics, in our day to day life, our bosses, our mentors, etc... Let us all give thanks to them and make them feel they have indeed inspired someone... hopefully it will give them more life and strength to continue being the light in someone's path. Have you got a teacher who's made a huge impact in your life? (not necessarily school teachers, but all opinions and sharing are welcome! )

I don't know if it is "Teacher Week" where I live, but I do know that this week is "Ray Bradbury Week". My friends, my boyfriend, and I are all going to meet Ray Bradbury, the famous Science Fiction novelist.

Teaching is indeed the most noble of professions. The things we learn from them certanly have a huge impact on our lives. I remember a professor I had in Uni. He was very strict and demanding. He was also abrupt and expected the best from his students because we belonged to the Premier State University and our tuition fees are subsidized by the tax-paying public. He never accepted mediocrity. I learned a lot from that guy. He inspired me to push beyond what I think I'm only capable of and I managed to surprise myself most of the time. He taught me never to be complacent and to always believe that people can go beyond their limitiations if you believe they can and if you let them know that you believe they can. A compliment from him is always always held in high regard. The time that he asked if he could keep my Research Paper as an example to his future classes still counts as one of my stellar moments in my career as a university student. Here's to you Prof. Rolly Maclang.
