What is the best way to treat mosquito bites?

I know that I should not be itching them, but these are irritatingly itchy and I have succeeded in making them much worse. I have been taking Benadryl to distract me from the itch, but I am wondering what I could do that would be a better and more productive way of relieving the itch until these bites go away. What do you do when you have mosquito bites?
