When to turn on Heat or Air Conditioning

I've spent the past week or so freezing. The thermostat has dipped down to 56 degrees. My mom finally turned on the heat. It was at 60 degrees. It's set to 67 degrees. For air conditioning I normally turn it on when it hits 76 degrees and set it to 72 degrees. What about you guys? What temperature do you set it to/are comfortable at?

We only have air conditioning. I usually set it to high-cool at night. Although it's way too much when i wake up in the morning. I could barely curl my fingers. It's one of my problems. It has no timer.
