Is it an effort to get to sleep for you?

Some nights I think it is for me. Many times I tend to drift to sleep rather easily, without many problems. However, there are those nights where it can be a chore to drift off to sleep. Where there are many things on my mind. Still, it is very necessary to say the least. So do you go to sleep easily or is an effort for you? Looking forward to reading your responses.

Every single night I find it hard to go to sleep. I do be extremely tired all day long and the second I get in to bed bang I'm wide awake. I'll end up lieing in my bed till about seven a.m. when I eventually drift off to sleep only to have to get up at nine a.m and be extremely tired all day all over again until its time to get into bed when once again I'll wake right up. Its absolute torture. I've tried taking sleeping tablets which only ever works for the first two nights and then they just seem to stop working altogether. God, I'd give my kingdom for a guaranteed decent nights sleep.

There are many people who would give anything for some sleep. I'm just glad that I only have trouble sleeping every now and again. I can just imagine the nightmare it must be trying to deal with that every day on the day. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Falling asleep is not too hard for me. When I want to go to sleep, I play a game or two and then I fall asleep. If not, I listen to music while closing my eyes. That's what I did last night and it works all the time.

Different people, it takes different tricks to get to sleep. Playing music does not really work for me, but I can really see how it might work for some. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

We are different people that is why we do not have the same ways of getting to sleep. It is important though that people know what could make them fall asleep.

Most of the time, sleeping isn't a problem. But there are times, where I toss and turn and really can't sleep! It's that feeling I hate the most, it's very frustrating, I feel like I could just scream and kick the covers and pound my bed. :) I don't why that happens though. Other times, when I come home from work, I have absolutely nothing to do and all I can think of is sleep but I'm VERY reluctant to do so because I feel like I can't just fall asleep with all my energy left unused. But then, when I finally decide to go to bed, I fall asleep easily. No problems at all. So there. It's just those really really frustrating times where it's already 2 been 2 hours, and I'm still tossing and turning.

Yeah after a couple of hours, I start getting frustrated as well. When I get frustrated, I focus on said frustration and thus I'm not going to get sleep any time soon. So it is unfortunate when this happens but these things do tend to lead down this slippery slope. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I"m the same with you. Usually, I am ok, but a lot of times I have a hard time sleeping because of distracting thoughts. I know that eventually I will fall asleep so I just have to wait it out and eventually, it becomes morning.

Yes, it is just best to let it flow naturally. Otherwise there will be a lot of problems. The more you try to fight whatever is not making you sleep, the more it is going to be hard to get to that blissful state of slumber. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Well, that means you stress a lot thinking as i also encounter it when i have something important to do for the next night. Such as important appointment or interview i just feel excited and could not sleep. I just notice that i lay in my bed for many hours until i heard everyone sleep as the night goes deeper while i just lay there hearing the clock ticking or just change sleeping position. Nothing happen I just could not sleep. So even though I like to relax my mind i think sleep deprive me. So most of the time what i do to get sleep is to drink war milk, read books or watch television or dvd movies till my eyes get tired. if everything does not work and if the pattern continue then it have potential you have insomnia or already have but does not only notice. You could follow what i do or when it become extreme try to relax or count sheeps . Well that is only what I heard or for serious condition you could consult a physician specialized in sleeping disorder. have a sweet dreams I also feel a little bit drowsy now so good I just lay down in a short while I could sleep easily as long as my body get close to bed..lol..have a nice day..

There is any number of things that can be done in an attempt to get us to go off into sleep. However, actually getting them accomplished, might be another matter of entirely. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Please don't remind me! I have recently experienced a great difficulty in getting asleep. And it is normal with all this world crisis and its consequences: hard living because of big prices and lack of work. I keep on watching TV till late to wait my sleepiness to come but in vain. I'm anxious all the time and get into panic when money problems occur. I still hope for better but till now I can hardly find my peaceful sleep.

yeah, I am having a hard time getting sleep and even if I do get some sleep for just a few hours, I won't be able to get back to sleep when I'm awakened. I always have headaches and I feel dizzy the whole day.

Lack of sleep can do it. It was always the worst when I had to move around a lot and climb stairs. Not good times having a dizzy spell at that point. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

It depends sometimes on the night. There are nights, when it is really easy for me to fall asleep. However, there are other nights, when it's harder for me to fall asleep. It really does depend on the night.

It does tend to vary for me and many other people around. There can be one minor thing different and everything is thrown off. Or better than ever really come to think about. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I'm very blessed, because I can sleep very well at night. I have had a few nights when something is bugging me so bad that I don't get it off my mind and it eats me up all night. Other than that my sleeping is great. If I go to bed earlier than my regular time, it takes a while tho.

Yes, trying to go to bed earlier sometimes, well I might as well not bother. It is just trying to force something and trying to do something naturally. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Hi, I should say I can sleep easily after a tiring day, when i can't sleep, I will online surf net and do MyLOt,at least, I am doing something and not wasting my time lying on the bed. Once I am doing something, my brain is working and I will stay active until my battery is almost low batt. When my eyes started to get tired and keep yawning, then it is time for me to rest at the bed. Lying in the bed less than 10 mins, I will be in my dreamland.

Normally more often than not, when I'm yawning, its time to get down for the night. That normally means I'm tired. Unfortunately, for many reasons, I have to get to bed at a certain time and there is an odd night where that time is not going to be when I'm ready. Most of the time, yes, but not all of the time. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Nine and a half times out ten, I think I can get to sleep on my own, if there is no external interference. Of course, there are all kinds of variables out there. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Actually, most nights I'm so wound up from the day I have had that I do not want to go to sleep, so quite simply I stay awake. When I get tired during the day, I usually have something pressing and can't go to sleep. This means for me that by the time night falls and it gets late, I am no longer tired and can't sleep. Yes sleep is definitely needed, but depending on your schedule, sleep at night although not traditional, may happen during the day. For these reasons, I try to take a nap at least once a day if I can't sleep at night.

Me and my friend are total opposite. When 9:00PM comes, she always hurry to get in bed. And me? I always thought that sleeping is a waste of time. Why do you need to sleep while you can do many things. I go to bed around 2 in the morning and I am used to that. I woke up at around 8 in the morning. Sometimes, I don't sleep at all especially if I have a very good book that I wanted to finish reading. But, I have to say, I am wrong. We need to sleep in order to give our body a rest after the whole day activities. And sleeping on time is necessary to have a good skin. I am only 29 but have wrinkles already. I used anti-aging cream to prevent it. It takes a while before I was able to organize my sleeping schedule. I am still in the process.

Yeah, there is that thing. Sleep often times is a necessary evil. We might have a million things we need to do. However, we can barely do any of those things if we don't get the sleep to function. We can do those things, but we might be able to do them a bit easier when we have had enough sleep. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Hi! Well for me, some nights I can sleep almost immediately and other nights takes me some time to doze off. It's either I have many ideas in mind, some solutions I'm kinda thinking about or I just couldn't sleep at all, lol.

I have the trouble to get to sleep if I am not so tired. I am living in a dorm that every night my roommates will chat for a while. I can never fall asleep until everyone stops talking. Before I get to sleep, even a slight sound will interrupt me from going to sleep. Also I am easily to be awaken in the morning. I am always the first one to get up in my dorm because I can wake up for any noise. Very annoying thing,is it?

I easily get sleepy. I always make it a point to get at least a minimum of 6 hours sleep per day so that I would be sleepy on my work. But if you can't sleep properly then I suggest you go to a medical doctor and ask for medical opinions on that. Sleed deprivation is bad for our health.

I don't think I'm at the point where I think I have a sleeping problem. Maybe one or two times a month. Many people have much more. Then again, we're all built differently. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
