In my area, there are a lot of water shortage problems especially during summers. My friends decided to bathe one day less this year to save water. Are there any water problems in your area. Do you do something special to save water? Would you be willing to bathe one day less in order to save water.

In my village, we get a water supply from gravity, so no bills to pay, no water shortage...and we can take bath many many times a day. we also live next to a river where we go to swim around whenever we want to. It's a clean river. But yes, if I was living in a city where water is very expensive then of course I'm willing to bath one day less if that can save water or especially if I was living in a same house with few other people. Sometimes I think being able to drink is more important than a bath you know when it is really hard to get water.

One less day out of 365 days.... really that is not going to do much good. Also no if I go to bed dirty then I have to was my sheets the next day so then it winds up using a lot of water anyway. I cant stand skipping a bath. Sometimes when I am really tired or really sick I skip it though but then I feel gross.

Well I wouldnt take just one day to conserve water. I try to do it everyday but turning off the water when I brush my teeth so I dont leave it running. I try to take the shortest showers I can. But really where I am it doesnt matter if I save water or not because I have a well but I still try.

hmm i think i won't be willing to do this, but i am willing to cut my shower time short. i have the tendency to just let the water flow most of the time even if the soap or shampoo is totally rinsed off. he he

Once a day, is okay but one day less is a disaster - for the nose. This is a hot country. We sweat a lot, despite what. So it's normal for people here to bath a few times a day. So if we really want to save water here, just take that once a day option, not one day less.

Conserving water is very important in the future of our planet. it is also important to have good hygiene. Bathing one day less would be an acceptable sacrifice. If it did something to make the world a better place, it is worth doing.

Well, we don't lack water here, so you can bath as much as you wish. But we do have the concious to save water. For example, though we cannot cut the times the take a shower, we can have a shorter shower, therefore, we use less water on bath. People here use different ways to save water. For another example, they use water twice. Aftering using them wash something, they store these water and use it at toilet.

I think it will save the day if I can bathe only once a day. That will be no problem because I am a type of person that can take care of my clean condition. Fortunately, something like that (bathe once a day and water shortage) have never been happening until now.

I am lucky that our place is not experiencing water shortage, but our neighboring cities do. If I have to sacrifice days without taking a bath I will do that. What's important that there is water to drink.

I am lucky that we don't experience water shortage here in our area. But,bathe one day less is good. There are ways to save water, like re-using the last rinse after washing,it can be use to clean the toilet or flush the bowl. I always try to save water thu we don't experience water shortage, but to save the bills. I only had one problem about it,my youngest son bath 3-4 times in a day

Hi, It is kinda a big problem if my area encounter any water shortage problem. I am glad that so far, my housing area never have such problem. Since you know that it always happen, then try to save lot of water in the big pail during the summers and it can be used for emergency. How long does this water shortage last? Try to make complain to water board department, they have to work out on something on this issue since everyone in your area need water to survive. In such cases, better to use water whenever necessary and take bath once a day is fine.

Luckily, our area does not have water shortage. I don't like the idea of not taking a bath even for a day. :)

If it's really really cold and I'm not sweating at all, then I'd forego a shower to save water. But who am I really kidding, I won't showere because I wouldn't feel like doin it, not because I'm trying to save the earth. However, if you live in a tropical country where humidity and heat can reach nearly 40 degrees Celsius, I don't think skipping a shower is a good thing. Even for the sake of humanity. ^.^

I do not think bathing less one day could make any difference. In these cases, you should keep water in buckets to store up the water. I think this method should save water more. A running pipe will be more costly than if we use the water out from buckets and pails. Yes, water shortage is very very troublesome. But any method that is suggested to save water should be considered as personal way for dealing in this matter.

The whole world is running short on water. Here in CA, the fresh water reserves are running low is most areas. I have done a day without taking a bath but mostly because I was too busy. I've shorten my bath time to be under 5min. The government actually does a lot and they buckle down more on people who water their yards to try to conserve water. My husband actually did a project and found that the US uses more water then any other country in the world. There are many ways to save water and if you just look online you can find them. I think everyone in the world should try to conserve everything as much as possible. If we could get that going this planet would last longer and maybe get healthier along the way,

No, fortunately we have not been facing the problems of the sort or intensity - not yet. But of course, I would happily go without bathing for a day if it helps ease the situation since I do it anyway...well, from time to time. I can understand if someone has a problem with it as I realize there are people who prioritize bathing quite highly on their daily curriculum, but still, a nice perfume should do the trick. Happy stinking and god bless (your neighborhood)!

Sure why not? As long as it's not a work day or anywhere you need to be clean or presentable go for it! I have pluming issues in my house so I don't save water because of shortages other reasons including lack of funds for repairs.

Rather than bathe one day less, it will be better to take shorter bath. Not only that, there are many ways to conserve water like, taking pails to wash the car than hose or to reuse the water discharged from the washing machine to mop the floor.

We often have water problems with ecoli in Ontario, but I do not know of any current water shortages. I try my best to save water, though. While I like to take a shower every day, sometimes I wait until the following day because my hair doesn't need to be washed that often. If someone in our household only drinks half a bottle of water and leaves it sit there for a couple of days, we usually pour the rest in the kettle so it doesn't go to waste.
