Do we have to treat our friends on our birthdays?

It's 50/50. My friends never force me to treat them during my birthday, and it happens so often that they will treat me instead. But if I've got more than enough cash to do it, then I don't mind treating them.

I had one friend who actually treated me and not just me but some of my friends too.. quite funny but true... according to him... It should be somebody else who would treat a person on his or her birthday and not the person celebrating his/her birthday:)

I like to go out and celebrate my friends' birthday with them. It's their special time and we usually do something special together. They always treat me on my birthdays so it's only fair that i return the favour.

I don't think it's necessary to treat friends when your birthday comes. It actually depends on your financial status and feeling. If I feel like treating them and have sufficient money for that then I would treat them. Sometimes, we have to spend our time important days with our special days to show how important they are too. Greetings is enough to make a friend happy on his/her birthday. At least, someone remembers. But in my case, i really want to have a party on my birthdays.

No , i think we shouldn't or we don't have to. But you know, if you want , you can do it. Hm , my birthday is coming and i don't think that i hold a party. I don't like party because it's so noisy , i don't likeit. I just go out , eat something with my family , go shopping , that's all

the choice will depend on you whether you treat your friends or not on your birthday. it is not a must to treat our friends during our birthdays coz not always you have the money to treat them. if you still unite or see each others very often birthday will be just a normal day it just be special coz its your birthday and being with friends around will really make you day special.

usually i will just celebrate my birthday with my family.we used to do so.if my friends ask me for going out it wasn't necessary for me to treat them.sometimes i do treat them as there are one or two persons only.it is not because i have to do so but sincerely i want to treat them.

Hi! Lol, I would not hide. I think it's fun to treat your friends, family and loved ones on your birthday. It's like sharing your blessings to them besides just imagine all the gifts you will be getting. Lol. Just kidding.

This discussion is funny and I kind of remembered my recent birthday. Anyway, it's not my ritual to treat my friends out when it's my birthday. They usually just ask me to celebrate my day with them. I go out with them the following they because I always spend my special day with my girl. So last June, my friends asked me where we should celebrate. I was short of cash and the only person I could treat was my girl. So I ignored their messages and calls that day. The next time I met them, I was laughing hard at their faces because they really felt disappointed that they didn't get to eat free food.

Celebrating birthday and treating friends is not just about the money we spend on then. It's about having a fun time. We just need a reason to celebrate and what the best way than treating the friends, who make us feel special on that day. Even if you try to hide, you best friend will find you out and will never leave you alone on your birthday.
