Did you ever notice that you have used the pronoun 'I' too many times when talking to other people? My attention was called when I was trying to work for an agency online. The head was telling me that he wanted to talk to his employees so he would be able to get to know them more. He had said, "Did you notice that you use I too many times?" We were chatting then, and he told me to scroll up. I was amazed. I used 'I' in almost every sentence of my reply. Now that you are aware, how many times do you use the pronoun 'I'?

Really? You are one of the few who do not use 'I' that much. Good job. I really have a difficult time not using 'I'.

Mmm...that is a food for thought. Anyway, (ahem..) wouldn't want to consciously monitor myself lest (atchoo...sniff..sniff) sound too fake. Anyway, (cough..cough..) am going to make a cup of coffee for myself now, so happy lotting.

LOL that's another way of avoiding the pronoun 'I'. But it gets a little tiring sometimes. =D

Well,depends on the topic.
If i am talking or referring to myself or taking myself as an example, the possibility of using the word "I" would be redundant (and it is given)
But,if someone is trying to impose him/herself or boosting, that's another reason.

In the English language we do use "I" a lot. it is the easiest way for our slf expression to come out. it is the mos familiar word that we use when we are talking about our own personal experiences. If I could count the number of times I used "I" in a day and was paid for it, I would be a millionaire today.

You are right, but doesn't it seem like we're a little selfish when we use too much of it?

Now that you are already aware, you try avoiding its use. But we all find that difficult to do.
