Oh boy - is this the BEST web site ever?

Hi all. First, the real stuff: my cooker blew up around a month ago, and since then I've been trying to find another one that's affordable and big enough.
Finally decided to take out a loan and buy one from Comet (UK electricals warehouse, the biggest and best.) Last time I went there I got a great deal on a washing machine by sourcing it online, so I googled "Comet" ... and the top hit wasn't the warehouse itself, but a subsidiary company (part of the Comet group) called "comet Warehouse."
All the goods on it are either end-of-line items, brand-new-didn't-work-repaired (with 6 month guarantee, slight cosmetic damage or unpacked from box, warehouse display never used.
It's NOT an ebay trader, though the same methods are used. Anyhow, I saw the New World cooker I'd already seen in the Argos online sale - end of line, but only reduced (from £450) to £379. No other bids. Guess what? I bid for £1 plus £28 delivery charge - no other bids. Hopefully, on 9th October I'll be the pending owner of a brand new £400 cooker for less than £30!!!
I imagine this is a fairly new site, as none of the cookers had bids. So it might be a scam, along the lines of "Sorry you've been outbid, but can we direct you to our sister site Comet Warehouse.com ... Buuut - I don't think so. I'll still be careful paying for it though.
Anyone else in the UK come across Comet auctions?
