Need help with Party Planning....

Ok so I am planning my little sisters 16 party. It's a surprise but I got some ideas from her and one was having chocolate fondue. She wanted a Candy Land theme party and a Halloween theme so I decided to combine the 2 which is turning out perfect b/c Halloween is all about candy! The thing is, is we're having the food outside and the chocolate fondue just doesn't seem like a good idea. I've researched that there are "wind guards" for the fondue machine but they're more for commercial use and cost $400 alone! And that's not in my price range. Are there any ideas on how to stilll have the fondue fountain outside and it not create a mess? Or should I just scratch that idea? The only other think I thought was a cotton candy maker but I would like to have both :) Thanks for your help!
