Are you done with your Christmas Shopping?

Is anyone else done with Christmas Shopping for this year? I actually have to confess I've been done for months.
I buy tons of gifts on clearance, but you have to remember to only buy the goodstuff! No one wants three napkin rings for Christmas, just because you found them 90% off!
If you haven't started yet, you really should think about it! It's a lot easier to handle than waiting until December and stressing out because you have to put everything on credit cards! :).

I like to leave some shopping until December, simply because I love getting out in the crowds and feeling all the camaraderie. I like hearing the Christmas music--I moved back to the Midwest from the Southwest 3 years ago and it was so nice to hear the traditional religious songs playing in the stores! They weren't allowed to play those in Arizona and most store employees were not allowed to say "Merry Christmas"! It's nice to be back where people are sane!
I like to make a lot of my gifts. Right now I'm knitting scarves. My sister is very easy to gift--she loves it when I save all the samples I get and gifts from charities wanting contributions and give them to her at Christmas! We are both very easy to please, we just want to know someone has thought about us.
I love Christmas shopping! No stress here, it's a real joy for me.

I'm the same way. I dont like to do it all ahead of time because I just love going out and shopping for the holidays when its close to Christmas. All the decorations in the stores are so pretty and the music playing over the speakers just makes it seem so festive and magical and wonderful. I love that time of year but right now its to early to even be thinking about it much for me.

When my ex and I started dating we were 17 and 18. We did same thing that you do. We waited until a few nights before and then we went out and did all our Christmas shopping. It was hard that way though because we would have to each push a cart because they were so full and it was hard to make sure we got everyone something and didnt miss out on anything.

Hi there Keepee,
Wow you are amazing!
I have never ever knew somebody who's been ready for Christmas as early as now.. I guess you just have the finances for shopping early.. In as much as I wanted to, but I can't and sadly I don't even know when I will be able to go shopping for Christmas..
I guess I just have to deal with the Christmas shopping rush, even I didn't want that.. Anyways I won't shop that much, I guess I would only for my kid's dresses, and mine, and my husband's, and also for exchange gifts.. Here in our home we usually do gift-giving after Christmas and that would be on New Year's eve..
happy myLotting Keepee!

I haven't even thought about it yet! I guess I'm not much of a planner. I enjoy shopping for gifts though. And it takes time to come up with ideas sometimes. Depending on what people the gifts are for. So I suppose I should start early this year, good idea !

Hi Keepee,
Thanks for stressing me out today! Really...I mean that...Thankyou. I had the day off which was a good thing and everything went so smoothly all day that it just didn't feel right. I actually forgot to think about, i mean, worry about how the heck I am going to manage to buy anyone any Christmas gifts when I can barely pay my rent and bills and still put food on the table. In fact I did really well this morning. I went to the grocery store and bought enough food to get by for the next 3 days and put 5.00 of gas in my car and bought my 16 yr old a couple of things she needed and was even able to buy my pregnant 24 yr old a juice and still have 20.00 in my pocket. I started off with 60.00 so I felt really good until now...I have not bought one christmas gift. My grandson is due to be born Dec 23 and I'm desperately trying to give my daughter a shower and buy her something nice for herself and the baby. I have 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren with one on the way. Well you did well and I'm jealous. Even being frugal, I haven't had the means to start early. Good Job!

I have only one gift bought. I have about 3 to go. We no longer have a credit card so we'll see if we can get any more gifts for the kids and IL's before the holidays. Some how I doubt it. We'll see if we apply for help this year or not. I have 2nd cousin who will send a box out for their b-days & holidays, just because she can & we'll probably use that to put under the tree. I dunno it's going to be hard w/o that darn credit card.

Hi Keepee, no, I have done any Christmas Shopping yet due to the of finances :( I don't have enough money yet, I have planned what gift I wanted to get and where to get them but I really don't have enough money at the moment. I hope I will be able to save more by the beginning of December, I know it is gonna be busy for me, but as long as I have enough that time then I will be happy to even do the shopping alone.

I am slacking off on this one, big time. The only thing I've done so far is make a list and allot a budget for the people on my list. I haven't windowshopped yet or taken the time to canvas where I'm going to buy their gifts and how much I'm willing to spend.
I did this list in August and haven't made any progress yet and it's already October. Your discussion post has reminded me that this is something that I need to do very soon.

I have not even started. I literally dont have one thing set aside for anyone for Christmas. I havent found anything on sale to set aside for presents. I will wait until at least December probably before I bother to go Christmas shopping. If I see something ahead of time and know it will make a great gift I will buy it but until December I wont specifically go out looking for stuff to mark off the people on my list whom I need to buy for. Since my ex and I split this year I will have a lot less people to shop for.

well ive not been able to do any shopping yet, because no extra money left really. even though iam saving back now for enough to send every kid a little money, mostly my kids prefer money having so much trouble with the economy these days. plus, they about all live out of state except 2. i have 3 grandkids here i will likely buy something for. but thats about it.

I have not even started my Christmas shopping yet.
I keep saying each year that I'll start early and be finished by early November, but I never do!
I always leave it to the last minute, then get stressed out when I can't find anything decent

Christmas is getting closer and closer everyday, but if you will ask me if I am done with my Christmas shopping. then the answer is no. simply because during November we will still be celebrating the Halloween and in case you are in the Philippines the "all saints and all souls" day. also here in my Town we will still be celebrating the feast of our patron on December 8. We usually do Christmas shopping days before Christmas.
