First think of the type of job you don't want. Its easier to rule out things you don't want. After that start thinking about your job skills and talents. Figure out why you don't like your current job and try to find something that is different based on what you want to do and what you are good at. Make a list of the pros and cons that go with your job and the job you want. You should probably do a quiet job search on your own to see what else is out there before you resign also.
