Best tv show ever.

For me to name just one television show which is the "best ever" would be a difficult task. I have several all time favorite shows from a vast span of decades and genres. If I had to pick only one out of my top favorites, and taking into consideration factors such as the show's longevity, the appeal of the cast and the chemistry of the characters, the acting, the music and the overall intrigue of the story lines, not to mention the impact the show itself has made on the culture and on myself personally, I would have to go with 'The X-Files'. I also have to mention 'The Golden Girls', 'Touched By An Angel' and 'Little House On The Prairie' as these shows also (in my opinion) meet the criteria I mentioned.

The best show ever? Well the best drama ever is the Wire. The amount of character work and realism in the series is beyond brilliant. Every last character who makes more then one appearance in the show has at least some kind of story arc, some only happen in a single episode where things change, others sit in the background and slowly shift and have their story told over seasons without you even realizing what is going on. Just brilliant, brilliant television. The best comedy is harder to pick, I would probably have to say MASH. It lasted for so many years and never lost it's appeal. You can watch any episode randomly and appreciate the show, and it pushed so many boundaries for television.

For me no Doubt, The Simpsons. The best and funniest show i ever saw on TV, it started and 1989 and is produced till now with the same succes. I like some local TV shows too (I live in Brazil) and some series like 24, X-Files, CSI.

Well I watch only Hindi shows or news or discovery channels which are in English but serials . I watch only Hindi serials so among that nowadays the serial which I like most is 'Sasural Gannda phool' this is pronounced in Hindi only .This is a comedy plus homely serial in which I never feel any tension.
