Why is it that when a child with a cold can be fine all day, no coughing, sneezing, etc? But when Nightfall hits the cold strikes 10 times worse?

Because you lay down to sleep. With that everything is now pooling so to say and makes you cough more. That is why when I have a cough I sleep proped up so that it is easier to breath. Same for little ones, usually along with the cough they have a runny noise and now that you are laying down you get stuffed up and it makes you cough.
