Eye Brows

I know in the past 10 yrs or so that I've noticed it's a big thing to get your brows done as part of making a Woman's eyes pop along with make up. I've wanted to have them professionally shaped and then go from there. However, I don't have the funds for such luxuries. So once in a while I'll pluck them so they look half way decent. Is maintaining the shape of your brow part of your beauty routine? or do you not bother?

of course...a right shape could make you look at least 5 years younger. the best thing would be to have them don by a proffesional...but if you can't afford that you could always ask a friend that's good at it. as for me I do them myself, and I consider I do it pretty well

I used to get my eyebrows done quite a lot but now I just pluck. My husband says he likes my eyebrows and honestly I think that they aren't as bushy as they were before. I don't bother plucking my eyebrows that much to be honest either.

Perhaps if you got them done enough that they don't grown in as much? Who knows I'm glad you don't feel the need to get them done beyond the pluck @ home.

3snugglebunnies I have nice eyebrows but for one thing they turned whiter than my darned hair, and I can never find the appropriate eyebrow pencil in gray. They are shaped but do not stand out and using brown eyebrow pencil looks so horrid. I have grey white hair and need a more believable eye brow pencil shade.. lol

Nope, I do not bother. Never have done. Just can't see the point. But then my glasses hide my eyebrows anyway.

I personally don't bother with them, but then again, I also don't really bother with makeup because I'm happily married and not out to impress anyone any more. However, my mother and my sister do get theirs waxed on a regular basis. We have found that there is a school of cosmetology in our area and that is where they go to get theirs done because it only costs three dollars but doesn't take very long to get done and they do a good job with it. You might check and see if there are one of these in your area if you want to do it and also save money.

That's true, there is a cosmetology school not too far away from here. However, I don't have the cash for the simplest of luxuries right now especially, nor have I had the cash in a few years. I hear ya I don't wear make up much either between the girls mess'n with my stuff and no one notices if I get dolled up or not unless it's dramatic. Once in a while I'll wear make up to work though.

Don't bother. I think I look fine without any beauty routine. And I wouldn't want to do any pulling of hairs. Ack, sounds painful.

I don't bother with it. As I've gotten older my eyebrows have thinned out, although they were never really thick, and seem to have shaped themselves! I've been blessed with nicely shaped ones even in my youth. I tried to pluck them once and it hurt so much I decided it wasn't worth it and if someone didn't like them, nobody was forcing them to look!

When I was working I would have my eyebrows waxed, now I just pluck them. It is part of my routine to keep them in shape. Usually about every other month I still go to get them waxed, just for a more professional shape. You can usually go to a beauty school and get them done very cheap. I only pay $3.00 and they do a great job....much quicker than plucking them.

I agree that eyebrows are an important part of the face, so I always try to keep them in a nice shape that will look good in my face. Beauty parlors are too expensive, so I just do it by myself at home, but you get used to it in the end However, I have seen many disasters in matters of eyebrows too. It can't be helped as the first times you try to do it yourself you're not an expert, but we can all learn with practice

Hi there! I got vain in my eyebrow shape when I am in my early 20's, I find that it makes the girl more beautiful with shaped eyebrow. I've done shaving the upper part which is not advisable by any beauty expert. I do pluck my eyebrow as maintenance, I do sometimes shave it to re-shapen it. I hate looking at girls with so thin and almost no eyebrows. They only depend on eyebrowliner. You can have your eyebrow shapen by professional and do the maintenance by your self by plucking.

i think maybe you can just be nature, you will look more beautful. like the professionally luxuries, i think it is not necessary to use them. i only when it grows so quickly and long, i will amend it.

I actually don't get my eyebrows done at all. I had a hairdresser tell me once that since I had never had them done and with the exception of a few stray hairs (under the main eyebrow, ya'll know what I mean) they looked pretty good, so I should probably just not worry about it. Plus my mom waxed hers until now she draws them on, because 3 hairs in a row hardly counts as an "eye brow" so that scared me off LOL!

I kind of "shape" my eye brows because they can get out of control if I don't. I don't have a "unibrow", but I do have very shaggy eye brows, so I have to keep that hair under control. Women never look good with shaggy eye brows. Men, maybe, but not women.

What I find useful is that if you do get done once then you once a week clean continue to shape them so you won't have to get them done often.

No, I don't bother. I never done anything to my eye brows all my life. I do have so much time if I actually wanna do it, but I think my eye brows are just fine, and there's nothing needs to be done to make it look better especially when I wear make up. I dunno about my younger sister though, she never stops about it and she has so much to do with her beauty, but sometimes she is irritating because of that, she takes so much time and nobody is willing to wait for her anymore. She's now 21 but still no guy trying to hit on her because she is so popular being slow and taking too much time with her face, make-up, eye brow, outfit, and everything.

Ya getting your eye brows in shape will definitely make you look good. But think once again is it really necessary. Moreover, cutting the hairs of eyebrows and eye lids effects our eyes vision. We should not play with those things which have come to us naturally. It will, today or tomorrow, definitely effect us in some or the other way. Think again.

I don't really bother that much but I do get it done when I feel like it. I do want to share though that I think guys also want to get their eyebrows done. I have a straight male classmate who had his eyebrows done because he thought they looked so bushy. When my female classmates had his eyebrows done, he honestly looked stupid. His eyebrows were shortened and were really thin. Our clinical instructors even noticed it and one of them thought he was gay. Our gay classmate commented that even though he was gay, he never thought of having his eyebrows done.
