or well that's what Christine O'Donnell believed in 2006. Evidently she was given classified information about China having a well detailed plan for taking over the US. Ok aside for that being funny that's not the funniest part. Here's the funniest part her words not mine;
"I wish I wasn't privy to some of the classified information that I am privy to," she aparently added. Pressed on the matter, O'Donnell reportedly said she had gotten the information from nonprofits with missionaries in the country." Just for the record I am not the one that spelled apparently wrong.
Does anyone know why in 2006 the federal government was passing out "classified" information to missionaries? Was that a common practice of the Bush administration? As much as I disliked Bush I have a hard time believing that he allowed that to happen. Any explanations or thoughts?

I heard today that O'Donnell continues to sink in the polls and I guess this is just another reason why. She certainly is an interesting character...but more for the talk show circuit than a political office.
For the record, since folks keep bringing it up, the U.S. does not owe China money in the form of any type of standard loan that China can just call in. The U.S., as well as other countries, sell Treasury Notes...we also buy them. China does own quite a lot of our notes but their only options are to either hang on to them or to sell them to someone else. If they sell off too many that can cause currency rates to readjust around the world which will also have a negative impact on China. If I'm remembering correctly, China isn't even the largest holder of U.S. Treasury Notes anymore.

Yeah I think Japan bought a rather large number from them last year. I don't believe O'Donnell is sinking in the polls, but she's not gaining either. With so little time left in the election I think the numbers will pretty much stay as they are.
The sad thing is, we're hearing about all this crap and yet you won't find one article or story that actually discusses her stances on the issues or why she's wrong on the issues. 90% of the stories on her are pretty much tabloid garbage. Does anyone really care who she dated or where that date was in high school?

According to my personal opinion i think usa is worried because it is under performing now consistently and as you can see the developing rate of economy of not only china but india also is greater than 9% through the past consistently while usa is now developing at rate of not more than 4-5 percent and also still stunned with the fact that the recession that shocked the world was originated in usa itself and the whole world recovered from this perilous situation due to generous efforts by the developing nations like china and india.
[ i am deliberating adding india's name because the developing of india seems to create more trouble for the us government i.e. why they planned to cut the outsourcing]
both these countries are now proving themselves in each and every field e.g. china hosted olympics and india is hosting common wealth games.
the space programme of both the countries is pacing up.
the technology drive is more firm.
china has emerged as a manufacturing hub.
so i think these are enough reasons to make usa worried but i think a more rational approach will be by not thinking other countries inferior or despise them but take a step to work together so as to benefit not American's , Indian's or Chinese but to serve the whole mankind.

You're absolutely correct that the US is under performing. There are many different reasons as to why that is happening but, as long as , the US continues to elect conservative politicians it will continue to get worse. The US lacks in education and these politicians want to continue to cut federal funding.
India and China have continued to get outsourced jobs from the US because the former President Bush allowed companies to have tax breaks to move their production out of the country. Evidently they weren't smart enough to figure out if companies moved to India or China that the US worker would not move with them leaving them jobless, causing higher unemployment.
The US caused the financial meltdown because no one wanted to regulated our stock exchange, our banks, greedy CEO's ect. It's sad but, it is what is it. Maybe some day in future generations the ignorance of the conservative politicians will evolve into something more educated and logical.

I am sure that Ole Christine has locked up the Delaware right wing paranoia voting base.
China trying to take over the US, countries trying to take over other countries 19th and early 20th century. Countries are not trying to take over other countries well except the US itself. Countries trade with each other not shoot each other any more. The free marketers are always say that companies don't want to kill their customers. We are the customers of China and China is not looking to kill their customer.
As too missionaries receiving sensitive information of this nature just to go blabbing it to none other but a right wing religious freak running for the Senate is a bridge too far for my mind to accept.

I don't know why they can't just put someone on the ballot that isn't a complete loon. It's really shameful! I use to vote both sides of the political line but, in the past 10 years the "right" has become some sort of church based intolerant crazies that I can't bring myself to vote that way anymore.

LMAO Well I think the funnier thing is this is one example of the "Tea Party" answer to the United States. I was reading an opinion piece the other day and it was titled "Tea Party: One Hit Wonder or Elvis" LOL

It sounds like someone needs a lot of attention...If someone was saying that about China as of today, well, it might be slightly believable, when you take into consideration the billions of dollars that we owe them. Realistically they could call in our debt and say "we own your arses now."...lol

I don't believe that China would make such an uninformed choice to start a was with the US. We may owe China a lot of money in the form of bonds but, the US imports so many products from China it would be like "cutting off your nose to spite your face"

I don't know why China would want to take us over, well, we owe them so much debt that they wouldn't have to take us over, they would just need to call in all our debts and that would ruin us faster than anything. Obama has given us up for all sorts of stupid deals that makes him look good all the while he is destroying America and what makes it great. But fear not, he and his sorry ilk will be gone in November and that will be a rebuilding time for America. You will see people arise that have a stake in our future as well as our childrens'.

If Christine O'Donnell is the answer to the extreme right wing intolerant group for taking over Congress than I'm sure that the left will continue to have the majority.

China will definitely takes over US in 20 years or so. By seeing the growth of China now, it won't be long until China becomes the top country in the world. With more than one billion people, they can make almost everything in vast quantity. Just see in the shops, it is quite easy to find the label of a product, "Made in China".

That is very true because no politician wants to pass a fair trade law. Maybe some day.

LOL I'm very glad to hear. We have politicians in this country that seem to like to play on the fears of the small minded citizens. Propaganda is all
