beautiful children

I watched my 4 year old pick up my 1 year old today and tell her "you are ok, everything will be ok." after she bumped her head on the corner cabinet. what in children give them the motherly instinct? Is it from watching me, or is it a true instinct?

This is learn behavior therefore, she had to have heard and seen it from you. Congrats to you, as you doing a wonderful job instilling great behavior and manner. So cute.
