Hpw To Display Banners In My Profile?

Hello TO All My Fellow Lotters, I've seen many banners displayed in other members profiles while browsing through.I would like to do the same but unfortunately nothing happens after I copy and paste down the HTML code and hit the save changes button. I'm not sure if I'm making a mistake here.Can anyone kindly give me a proper guidline.Thank you.

Dear friend, I do tried to have an animated avatar, that too I pasted the html but unfortunately it did not work. May be there would be some simple mistakes that could have been rectified with proper guidance.
