Has the Universe ever tried to tell you something?

Before I dated or married my husband, he and I were friends for about 2 years. We started off working together, and would just chat occasionally at work. After awhile I quit that job, and did not really have a way of keeping in touch with any of my co-workers, including hubby. But then one day I was walking through a store, and he happened to be there.. so we exchanged AOL screen names so we could talk in IM on the computer. So we talked frequently, and hung out occasionally, and went places together.. we weren't exactly best friends, but we were friends. I was not interested in more than that at the time because I was already with someone else. Eventually I broke up with the boyfriend.. but was still not really interested in dating, and certainly wasn't all that interested in hubby as more than a friend. However we continued to talk and hang out, and actually got a bit closer after the break up. About 5 months after the break up I was out at a park. This park was about 45 minutes away from the town where we lived, but it was a popular park where people could walk, bike, or skate on a 4 mile trail. I went there occasionally with my son. Nobody knew I was there that day.. I probably didn't plan on going until after I left the house. But half way down the trail I run into hubby.. small world, huh? That led to us hanging out the rest of that night and having dinner together. Not too long after that I was at the mall getting something for a friend. This mall is not the only mall in the area, and it is about half an hour from the town we lived in.. but again I ran into hubby. He happened to have brought his mom and sister there to shop for sis's wedding dress.. which he wanted no part of so he was wandering around aimlessly while they shopped, which is when he ran into me. I find it pretty odd that we happened to be in the same place at the same time. It's not like we were somewhere in our own town where everyone happened to go a lot.. we were sort of far from home in places neither of us went too often. Coincidence, or fate? Well, these chance encounters did bring us even closer together as friends, and it was only a few weeks after that we started dating... Do you ever feel like the universe was trying to tell you something?

The Universe, (or God) talks to everyone every day. Most are not listening, or don't want to hear. You won't get the message in your ears, or even in your head, because it comes through your stomach. Yes its true! Try this for yourself! next time you are tempted to do something you normally wouldn't do, (but you're sure no one will ever find out) (like telling tales on someone, or even eating a grape out of your shopping cart) Even as you know its wrong, you suddenly feel a cramp in your stomach. When you listen to your stomach, you put the grape back, and pay for it at the cash register. Yes the Universe talks to us every day!

Hi there, that was a very nice and sweet story. I think that's what we can call Destiny. I believe the both of you are really meant to be. Works of the Almighty =)

That is such a sweet story. I would also be inclined to believe that the relationship that the two of you share is a relationship that is much different from the relationships that a lot of married couples have because of the fact that the two of you were friends before lovers. As far as whether I feel like the universe is trying to tell me something, I really can't recall any situations that might be like that in my life.

A destiny. Coincidence occured because of your fate wether you like it or not. Chances happened for it was the sign that you're meant for each other and making ways to prosper that destiny of yours.

Here in the philippines we call this "hula". As part of the culture, people are use to believe to prediction made from the arrangement of planetary things above the sky. Personally I don't believe so because after all we the one who are responsible for everything that happens in our lives.

That is such a cool story! I am glad for you that you both listened to the universe. I have occasion to think that way too....think about chance meetings or when something is just about thrown in your face! LOl....last guy I went out with well it was a bit like your story....met...didn't see each other...met again and connected. Unfortunately it didn't work out for us...

I think the way you met is definitely miraculous and sweet. I think it is not by chance. Everyone has a life that has already been predestined by the almighty, it is us to make the best our of all the opportunity. Sometimes the "something"is already in front of us, but if our heart is hardened, we will not see what he has want us to have. I believe i this fate to meet your husband. Almost like my story but not as dramatic and full of signs like yours. Good one. Thanks for the sharing.
