Yes this is the things which we don’t like to accept and feel that we are enough mature. But in reality we are children by heart. Reason is very simple that we feel that we are mature but some time we are very crazy about the things we want to have. And some time we feel very uncomfortable if we don’t have that.

I can agree with you very much, even if I am 21 years old, I don't feel it. There are many occasions when I act like a little child, like you said, when I want something very bad. And I do feel very bad when I don't get what I want. But there are other occasions when I act like a child. But I noticed that when mature people argue they still look like they are children, everybody wants to have right and doesn't have a sustainable reason to prove what a person says.

I still am a child within. I laugh to myself. I used to dance when i am free. i used to celebrate for even a small success. i believe we must go by the rule. no doubt. as a society, we must do certain things. when alone, or when amongst our beloved ones, we must learn to live our true self. i cannot sing loudly or dance in a non rhythmic manner in a office get together or meeting wearing a coat, suit, tie etc. etc.
But i can do it during week end, with simple casual t shirt and pant. is it not?

A child is someone who always depends on other people. Right now, there are times when I have to forget myself and think about the welfare of other people.
There are times when I feel and act like a child but I am sure I can use it when I already have kids (if God allows it) of my own. We are to reserve our childish things for our children. :)

We begin our lives in this world as children. I believe that is something that will always stay with us. We need to keep that child alive in our hearts. it can make such a difference in how we feel about life and others.

Hello,
Growing up is all about restraint. As a social being we have to grow up sometimes. It's an obligation. But there is always a part of us that wants to break free. This part always stays young and refuse to grow up. I refuse to grow up because I don't want to loose the simplicity at any cost. I was in the best of my humor when I was in my teens. So, I am still a child and I am very happy to be so. Isn't happiness is the most important thing in life? Thanks.
God bless you.

To be honest with you, I am convinced that I am still a child! I am 20 years old at the moment, and I have never really grown up. I am in the second year of a University Degree at the moment, and feel as though I really should have grown up, it's just never happened for me!
It's important to be able to feel childlike, as I believe that it makes us happier than if we just felt like the adults we are all of the time. There are some qualities that children have that I am really envious of, and I have to admit that I do enjoy to grasp hold of those whenever I can.

Personally speaking, I'm an adult physically but am still a child mentally. Until now I still don't dare to make all the decisions by myself and take all the responsibilities. I still highly rely on my parents in many fields. Many young people have the same situation as me. I know it's not a good phenomenon but it's quite difficult to change it in a short time.

Yes sometimes I think that I am a child when I ask anything for in my home. But after that I realize that now I am in young age and it is not good to demand for anything now. I think sometimes this happen with me.

Hi Anurag,
I do think that I am a child even at 36. And this feeling keeps me going. I still behave a lot like a child and love to get drenched in the rain, play in the mud and even be as stubborn as a child.
Being a child, helps me preserve my innocence and honesty. In today's world, people have different opinions and you are considered a non-professional person if you let the child in you out on a spree but that is the way I am and I do not care what the world thinks about this. I just let the child in me have a go whenever it can.
That refreshes you too and allows to see things in different perspectives which otherwise would not have been possible. Oh yes, a related thread that I started is also here at mylot.

To my mom, I am still a child to her, and I never grow up. I felt the same way. My mom still take care of my daily living, such as washing dishes, and wash my clothing. I felt guilty of it, and I really want to help out sometimes. I felt that I didn't grow up at all, she still clean up my room's mess.

Being a child is always happy and fun. I think that is the reason why many people prefer to remain as child in their mind so that they can stay happy all the time. But the reality always force us to become someone that we do not want to be. Just like become someone's mother, someone's father or even someone's grand mother or father. And being an adult, you have to bear a lot of responsibility that a child do not need to bear. We do turn ourself into small kid when there are occasion or situation allow. and many are comfortable by doing that.

Sometimes I'm thinking that I am still a child. I like the way how life of the children are. They have an innocent mind and felling that sometimes they quarrel and fight each other but after a while they settle each other and become friends again. That why I missed the life of being a child.

I still feel like I am a child, even though I have already graduated college and have become a nurse. I don't think it's a bad thing as long as we keep the 'child' in us and be that 'child' at the right moments. It is the 'child' in us that lets us live life with fun because if we forget to be a child, we might become a little too uptight, and that wouldn't be good.
