The only thing that is certain about life is death. That said, we don't know when the end of our time on earth is going to come, but we all have a lot of goals for things that we want to accomplish during our lives.
So, my question for you to think about today is what is the one thing that you want to accomplish in your life before the end of your days here?
For me, I would like to be able to see my grandchildren some day. The reason that I feel this way is because both my father and his father passed away before their grandchildren were born and I would love to be able to have the experience of meeting the children that my kids will one day have.

I want to finish my college degree, and maybe even get a Master's degree. There haven't been very many people in my family who have earned a college degree (a Bachelor's degree), and I don't think anyone in my family has ever earned a Master's degree, so it would be quite an accomplishment for me, especially if I could earn a Master's degree...

I am going to try to start taking night classes sometime in the coming year. I hope to start in January, but I may have to wait until the Fall. I am really looking forward to it. I have an Associate's degree now, but I want to get at least a Bachelor's or maybe even a Master's degree...

Well, if you aren't opposed to the schooling that it takes, I think that a master's degree is something that is good to shoot for. Good luck in your educational endeavors.

Earning a college degree is something that is very commendable and if you are able to get a master's degree as well, that would be awesome.

This is so much more important to me because of the fact that my father passed away before he got to see myself and my siblings graduate high school and to see his four beautiful grandchildren.

I may also have the same desire...but before that i want to see my kids grow ..marry and become successful in their lives also...i want to guide them at each step and never let them feel that there is no one to look after and guide them...as i had lost my mom at abt 2 years old...

It is important that we ensure that our children feel like they have someone to lead and guide them throughout their lives.

Oh gosh, there are so many things I would want to accomplish in life - I don't know that I could pick just one!! I guess my main concern right now is raising my kids right so that they can take care of themselves when the time comes that we are "gone" one day. My hubby and I are on the older side, so I really don't know that we would get to see our grandchildren someday (though I still hope we do). But we hope we can give them all the "tools" so they can live a wonderful life and pass on these "tools" to their own families. Ahhh - so much more to accomplish in life . . .

Those "tools" that you are referring to are some of the greatest gifts that you would ever be able to hope to give to your children.

I've thought about this before and mine is just simple. Just a couple of years of stress-free living. Where I could be happy financially, romantically, and with no big problems or decisions to make. Maybe just where to eat, or should I sleep in, etc.
Afterwhich, I could go.
Seeing the grandkids wouldn't be too bad either.

What I will consider a next accomplishment in my life is to make it all up to my mom. I know she has worked for the both of us and she has done nothing but work to secure us financially.
I hope for us to have a comfotarble home because we are still renting. I'd like for us to travel also to give her a good vacation where she can relax so that she can appreciate her second chance life more.
I hope God will help me.

With enough faith, God will help you get through those times in your life where you are struggling. However, you have to be able to keep your faith during the times when you struggle.

The one thing I would like to accomplish in life is to have my own home. I have always rented. When I did try to buy a house It burnt to the ground. I lost my shirt! I had to start all over again. I want my own. I work 3 jobs and to be honest its still not enough. I just want a small modest home that me and my daughters could call HOME. We would fix it up and everything. I can only hope that one day Ill get mine. dl

My husband and I were lucky enough to be able to do this two years ago. I have never been happier in my life than the day that we closed on our house.

I want to see my children grow up and get out on their own. I want to see them have goals and dreams and I want to be able to watch their goals and dreams come true. Of course like most moms, I want to see them all married with children, however if that isn't want they want in life that is fine with me as well.

I would accept whatever would happen to the kids if they are the choices that they make for themselves in their lives.

I'm working for almost 10 years but I don't have a decent income. I dream of owning a house and lot. In reality, it is too far from to reach. I earn money for my family to pay the bills but this is not enough to spend or save money to buy or own a house with lot. So, I'm trying here in this world of earning in order to supply needed income. I've been here since June but never received yet any income. Am I doing the right thing here trying my luck to earn money to accomplish my dream?

You are definitely doing the right thing to try to reach the goals that you have for yourself. It is difficult to achieve these kinds of goals, but they do happen in time.

I just want that while I am living, I have sufficient time to do things that serve the purpose of life and that is serving our Loving Creator in a way that he wants it to be.

I want all my friends and family members happy with me. Whatever we do, it's not an easy task to keep all around you happy and satisfied with you. So what I want is that the day I'll leave this world, everyone would miss me for best times spend with me.

That is a great dream to have for your life. My grandmother was able to do this and to meet 3 of the 5 great-grandchildren that she would have had now. I know that hers was a life fulfilled.

For me it's a bit more than just meeting my grandkids. I grew up with a very small family, just me and my mom and eventually a couple siblings. My mom lost touch with her family when I was very young. I also had my foster mom who had a lot of friends, but not a big family to speak of. Our holidays were always very small. Christmas started at my mom's house, opening gifts, then visiting a friend or 2 before going to my foster mom's for dinner.. and it was usually just me, my foster mom, her roommate, and her 2 sons... nothing really big.
The one thing I wanted to give my kids was a big, extended family. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do that. My foster mom and most of her friends and family (including one of her sons) has already passed.. her other son has his own family and only speaks to me occasionally. My real mom is still around, but doesn't drive and even though she's been invited over the last few holidays, she refused to come. My MIL is now gone.. but when she was alive she and FIL did not always come over for holidays, and hubby's sister has gotten to the point where she doesn't even speak to us anymore. So this coming Christmas will just be us and FIL... pretty sad if you ask me.
What I want is for someday to have a Christmas dinner with all 5 of my kids, their spouses, and their children... just a big, giant houseful of people for my grandkids. I want holidays to be really huge for them!

That is really something special to want to be able to give to your children. I remember when I was a young girl my dad's side of the family always had huge holiday celebrations. He was one of ten children and there were 16 first cousins, those memories are still very special to me.

I have a few and one similar wish like yours. My daughter is getting married next year and I always prayed to live and see her with a child. Please God I will as she wants to start a family immediately. I also have a son who is still unmarried and still suffering as his GF left him after 3 years. He so wants to be married and to settle down. I pray for him daily. And ten I had always wanted to see Jerusalem but that would cost between 5 or 6 thousand US dollars so that is only a dream and not likely to come true but I have not given up on it.

I have dreams in my life that I don't think will ever come true either. However, that certainly doesn't stop me from dreaming during the time that I do have to do that.

For me the ultimate goal of life is happiness in the world hereafter. Because I think people die in essence is "moving nature of life" that is nature hereafter, which is the eternal nature of life and natural life of the world is only temporary and we must leave it.
So take advantage of life in this world that is only temporary with useful activities. We have to prepare lunch for a maximum of as much of our life hereafter can be happy.

I do take advantage of life as I know it right now, but I also know that I will worry about the people that I love when I move away from this world.

The one thing I want to accomplish before I pass on is to start my own company and to build it into a successful one.
I've had the idea for a few years since I was at college, but other commitments forced me to abandon it temporarily. I'm now working on my ideas again and am determined to see it through this time.

I too would like to have the opportunity to start my own business at some point during my life. The problem that I always seem to run into is with networking.
