I am trying to make up my mind and decide if I should go ahead an fix my puppy. He is approaching 6 months old the 14th of this month and I have to decide what to do. We have always spayed and altered our pets, dogs and cats in the past and originally thought we were going to do the same with our newest little puppy, ( Chihuahua) but now that the time is here, I dont know if I want to now. The reason why we're having second thoughts is simply because I dont want to put him though the stress of the whole thing, leaving him and all thats involved and i'm just wondering if its absolutely necessary to do it. We're not planning to breed him, and there is no way that he will ever get away from us and get another dog pregnant, so why should we put him though all that?? I know that its recommended, but what do you think, do you think its necessary?? Id like to get you opinion .Thank you.

well, in the pet world, mating season would be quite frightening. Every pet should fulfill their desire, right?? I've a pet rabbit, and he used to ran away from us (almost get away from the house). when we bought a new female rebbit, his behaviour really fixed a lot. You can't live without partners, can you ???
