Are you planning to buy a netbook?

This is a good option for people who want to use only the internet and some basic applications. My mom wants to do this. I am also looking for one good one. We have these kinds of laptops in samsung, acer, asus, hp, Lenovo and many more. I am sure all of you would have seen these laptops too. The configuration of these laptops seem to be fine and it is good gift for our parents who want to use only the net. This comes with either DOS, Windows XP or Windows 7 which is really good. I am sure I will buy one soon and I will update it to the needs. Share your thoughts on the same.

I do not own a netbook, but my fiance does. It's an ASUS (I can't remember the model though). It's a nice little bugger, and it runs on Ubuntu. I used to pick on him for owning somethign so small, but he showed me how easy it was to use and how much he loves it, and I have now seen the error of my ways.
Also, I don't like Acer's quality, and it is definately not reccomended. I'd say go with ASUS or HP.

A couple months ago I purchased an acer and I have to say it is a really neat netbook and I can use it anytime and virtually anywhere as it so small it fits in my purse so I carry it everywhere we go so I do not have to worry about not being able to connect anywhere I go that has wifi connection. I do not have any issues with it hardware thus far. Your mom will be really happy with one also. Good Luck with this.

I already have on. It's a Dell Studio XPS, and I LOVE IT! This computer has only had one minor software problem, but other than that, it's great! I haven't had any hardware issues, and it works better than most computers that I have ever had.

In present I have no any planning for buying notebook. Because I have already a desktop computer. But in future I have planned to buy a notebook. Because I think now many good configuration notebooks are available in the market. So can you tell me which company note book will be good for me? And what will be the price for this notebook.
