Bullying making Kids Kill Themselves?

With recent events happening within the last month with five young people killing themselves because of bullying has made me wonder if people really believe that it is something that can bring you to doing drastic measures as killing yourself. I would have to say that from the bullying that I had when I was in school that I had a few times that I thought about. Do you all think that it is possible that being teased or bullied can lead to you killing yourself? If so what can we do?
