Were you able to spend quality time with your grandmother?

I grew up not having a good relationship with my now long gone grandmother. I missed her so much she still lives in my dreams. I wish I was able to show her my love and gave her the chance to show me she loves me too... How about you, were you ever close to your grandma and share some happy moments together?

I read all the responses and just wanted to add, that I never had a grandmother while growing up. It sounds like it would have been wonderful as from what I can see grandmothers behave as a second mommy, as it is their second chance to share love and joy with their grandchildren that perhaps they did not get a chance to do with their. Kids. God Bless.

It's sad you never experienced how to be a grand-daughter. Perhaps you're right there hardworkinggurl...Grandmothers are there so that they have the chance to do the things they have not done to their children. thank you so much for sharing.

I may say that I'm lucky enough that I was able to see my two grandmom's. Spending my childhood with them was fun - I remember how my grandma shared to me her stories when she was young. When she started to get ill and couldnt recall our names that easily she call me a new name which is really funny. I shared fun with my two grandmothers and that I loved them dearly even their gone.
