Hi dear,
No we don't have any such tradition. At the time of Onam festival people are preparing floral decoration in front of the house for ten days. That is the only thing I can remember now. After shifting to this place we are not doing that thing also.

Dear friend,
We do put it rarely, but we mostly put it during Onam a festival for us in Kerala in India. That too with flowers. But some my friends in Tamil Nadu often put this rangoli. It is really an artistic talent in many of them who are women.

Hi Chaitra
I will put rangoli in front of my threshhold daily. In ordinary days, i will put simple rangoli, either with lines or with dots. In special occassions like functions or festivals, i will put special rangoli. Also i will apply Kemmannu,(redoxide like powder) along with rangoli which gives a beautiful look

Well, there is no custom of putting rangoli out of our doors or anywhere else, neither i have seen it anywhere else near our locality.
I think it is because i live in chandigarh where there are no such festivals celebrated which include the use of rangoli.

Yes my family has this customs of putting Rangoli in front of the home. Because on many occasions my mother put Rangoli in front of the home. And it seems very good. I like Rangoli and its colors. What about you.

well the answer is no. We never put rangoli near the door during the particular festival. Despite not being a people of India, we do celebrate ostly all the important festivals like maha shivratree, durga and ram nawmi, diwali, ganesh chaturtee and some other and especially Ganga Snan because my country is surrounted with beautiful beaches. However i do like the design of rangolis on films and serials
