Next week I am planning to purchase a new camera. I have been planning this for months now and next week will be the perfect time to purchase it. I have been thinking this over and over and did my research before deciding what to buy. I am usually an impulsive shopper. When I like something, it usually doesn't take me long to buy that stuff. This time I decided that I should think hard before making a decision and that I should plan how to pay for the cam without acquiring any debt. That is why this time its much more exciting for me to purchase something. The anticipation and excitement has been building up cause this is the first time I actually waited on purchasing an expensive stuff. I was able to control my urge to buy it then and I think it is worth the wait. Have any of you experience anything like this? Getting excited in acquiring something you have been planning for a long time. A house or a car maybe?

The first nice digital camera I got was a used one my parents got me on ebay. It worked for awhile but then a lot of times the pictures would turn out blurry as it got older so I sold it as is on ebay. Then I bought myself a really awesome camera for $200. I had that awhile and I LOVED it. That thing was like my prized possesion. I let my daughter use it and she dropped it and broke it. So then I bought the one I currently have off ebay. It was a few dollars more then the last one I bought and I really dont like it as much. Both cameras I bought I checked out the online reviews and looked in consumer reports to find a highly rated camera.

Well my old camera blurred like I said so I sold it. Then I got really nice one that my daughter broke. So instead of buying that exact same model again I went with he newer model of it. That was a mistake because it just doesnt work as good as the other one. The pictures arent ac clear. With the one camera no matter what picture I took it turned out beautiful but with this one I have to change the settings all the time to get a nice shot.

I also check out the user reviews before buying a camera. This is actually my second camera, its an upgrade from my previous camera. My old camera still works perfectly but it has some limitations. Thats why I decided I should upgrade to a newer model. After I buy that camera I think I won't be purchasing any camera anytime soon.

I would certainly be using this camera. I rarely go anywhere without bringing a camera. One benefit on saving, researching and waiting before purchasing something is that there is a minimal chance of me getting disappointed with my purchase. I just hope that there won't be any problems on the item that I will purchase.

Hi! Wow, finally you'll be purchasing it next week. Well, me I've been planning to get a mutual fund since the beginning of the year and I've been saving up for it. Hopefully before the year ends I'll be able to purchase it. I can't wait.

my first car was giving to me when i was 17 by my parents.
it was an ok car, but nothing like what i have now.
i was so excited, work hard to put money down on the car.
i just got it back in march, i'm 21 and very proud of what i have now.
even thought a new car comes with car payments lol, its worth it!

I also felt like this when I purchase my car a couple of years back. Although this is a much smaller purchase compared to a car I still feel excited about this purchase cause I had to wait a couple of months before I could purchase this camera. I had to save for this cause I didn't want to buy something that I didn't have the money to pay for it.

I have experienced that a lot on buying things online. There were times when I was disappointed with the item that I bought but most of the time I already know what I am going to get from my purchase online. That is why I have never tried buying expensive stuff online.

I'm excited by everything I buy since I buy very little! I plan my purchases. Aside from groceries, I buy very little since I'm on a fixed income. Therefore I think carefully before parting with my money. I have a digital camera that I got in the early 90's but I don't plan to buy another one until this one no longer works. I use it up, make do, find other uses for something or do without since I'm in my mid 50's and have to save everything possible for my old age.
Congratulations on your new camera! I hope you really enjoy it.

Absolutely. Making preparation and obeying what we have commited to buy are good steps during shopping, otherwise yu will be seduced by the dark side of the shop! I myself always make careful planning for what I am going to buy. I love something, but I don't want to be causing problem if I buy it without preparation and consideration.
Anyway, looking forward to reading your review, and grab that new camera soon!

You are absolutely right Ramaditya. I learned that the hard way. I used to purchase things without planning on how to pay them. It ended in me having a big debt at the start of the year. This year I made it a point that I will only buy stuff that I can afford to pay. Once I am done paying for that stuff that will be the only time that I will purchase another one.

Same as you, my first (and still my current) DSLR camera. Because it's the first time that I spent my own money on something with 3 digits figure, thus, I really did a lot of homework because I didn't want to be spend on something that I either will regret buying it because it doesn't have certain feature (and reselling definitely meant some loss) or because I don't usually used it (like my sis DV cam which is not working now after we used it less than 10 times).
Hopefully I will be that excited in future if I ever want to buy a house or a car but right now, I am trying to stay "calm" before spending more on my camera's accessories.

I also feel the same way whenever I purchase something expensive. That is also one reason why I had to make sure that I pick the right camera so that I won't regret it in the future. Although there were other models which were cheaper I decided on purchasing the higher model so that I won't need to upgrade into a new camera soon.

Hi, Andyvil. well, congratulations by not becoming 'quick shoppers'. I never buy expensive stuffs, so I'm not quite familiar with the feeling. But, I can tell you that it's good to plan before buying it, and especially before we regret buying it.
