Do you trust internet banking?

My bf does not like internet banking - not at all and for him its just not the right way to bank and it is too risky.. well he'd prefer to pay bills in the bank and be with people on long lines, and long wait times than to pay them with an online account. I perfectly understand him but for me, it was okay to have your account ready online, as you can view them anytime you want... How about you? do you trust internet banking as much as you would or have given your trust in your local bank branch?

I do, I know that most serious banks have really good systems for this so there is no reason to be worried if you pick a respectable bank.

there is always a risk anywhere... =( that is why i use the account only for viewing my balance... but then of course if it was hacked they would have used and trasferred the money to their own account. haha

I've been doing online banking for years, and have never had any problems with it. It's more secure than most online activities, and I find it more convenient than going to the bank which isn't that close to me anymore. I wouldn't have it any other way, online banking is the best thing that's ever happened to me since I got online many years ago, it's saved my butt several times.

i like online banking too, as they are convenient because you get to see your account and work on it online whenever and wherever you are. I hope though their security would be extra well! :D

chiyosan hi I have banked on line for years and have never had the slightest problem as its safe guarded with the key emblem in the corner, it is secure. I love my online account as I always know just what is going on and can keep track of all my expenses so easily too.I am crippled and standing in long lines is at times painful for me even though b of a does have customer helpers who make me sit down in a chair and be waited on. I only bank in the real bank to deposit and take out money all other transactions are done on line always. its really very safe.

Hi there, i tried internet banking for almost a year now. I am glad that i don't encounter any problem at all. Internet banking is wonderful in the sense that you will not fall in line whenever you need money or pay for something. But still its our responsibility to select which one is trustful. Do internet banking only if you know that its a trusted site and it will not cause any problem.

I've been banking, paying bills and shopping online for years and love it. I just make sure I take the proper precautions like making sure the site connection is secure each time I log in. I've never had any problems. By doing most everything online and having direct deposit from my work, I seldom have to go to the bank and wait in line. I hate having to wait in line for anything so anytime I can avoid it is a big plus for me.

I trust my banks internet nabking services. The only measures i take is use a good browser to detect phishing sites, a good antivirus service in my computer and to sign off completely after my transaction.

Yes, I do trust internet banking, I've been doing that for many years and so far so good. It has made banking easier for me. I can do bank transactions wherever I am. It is just important that you keep your password private to avoid any problem.

I do use internet banking myself. if fact I have two checking accounts and I have an online account for both of them. I just recenly relocated to a new city and decied to establish a account with a local bank. I singed up for internet banking right from the start. I do not even have paper checks with this account. all transactions are done either on-liine or by debit card. I singed up for internet banking with my old checing account as a easy way of monitering what goes on back home. I still matian my account at home for varouis reasons. I do trust the internt becae I have been paying bills on line for a long while without an internt back account. I have never encountered any problem with it. I do underasnd why your bf prefers to do that the old fassion way. I use to do that for a long time even when I could go on the internet, I like going in the lobby of the bank and interacting with the tellers and doing things in person and getting the money or checks I needed at the time.

I do Internet banking because it's very convenient. So far I have no reason not to trust the bank. I do limit transactions to my home computer to avoid getting hacked in case keyloggers are on public PCs.

I don't bank online. It really isn't because I don't trust it. I don't but so many people do it, I'm sure it is safer than it used to be. I pay all my bills over the phone and I find that is more convenient than even online banking. I can pay a bill even if the system is down. A few years ago I was hospitalized and I could pay my bills. All I needed was access to a phone. If I paid them online, I wouldn't have been able to do that.

Good day to you Chiyosan, Now a days, almost all transactions are being done thru the internet. Transactions that we encounter in our everyday living. And that includes, the so-called internet banking. Wherein, now a days, banks really do the best marketing in doing internet marketing business since they aim to compete and get the most attention globally. However, though the banking trend now a days is thru the internet, I am still doing the payment of my bank bills over the counter on the bank's office, queing on the long lines and waiting for my turn number to be called. And this does not mean that trust is not present, hence, its just, I am still used to the same old way. Have a nice day and may your internet banking grow far.

We do a little internet banking. Checking balances, an occasional transfer, etc. I trust it more than I do most of the people I encounter in banking. But then I trust any bank just about as much as I would a hungry T Rex not to eat muy pets.
