What would you do for your child?

I recently watched the movie "Taken". For those of you who havent seen it, its about a teenage girl who goes to Europe to follow the U2 band. She gets kidnapped and her father goes through hell and to no ends to get her back. My question is, 1would you allow your teenage daughter to go to europe with her teenage friend? 2 What would you do if your child is kidnapped? What extent of damage could you cause, or extent of pain could you take to get your child back?
