hmmmmmmm well i think that lying for a good work i probably correct and if lying hurts someone then lying is really bad but i overall think that lying is somehow correct and can be practised at anytime.

this depends on the situation and whether you feel its right.
Gandhi had said that its better to tell the truth than lies as one truthful answer can clean up the mess while one lie leads to telling hundreds of lies.
So it depends on your inner feeling

Very well stated! I really enjoy that paraphrase of what Gandhi said! Thanks for the input!

Lying is only good if the person refuse to accept the truth and it is the only way to calm them down without using violence.

Hi justin,
Lying is right or wrong? It depends on purpose and motive behind doing so. If you lie to save your skin or for some monetary benefits then that act is certainly wrong whatever may be the price you have to pay for it. on the other side if you lie to help some body or to save some body's life and it will not help you anyway monetarily or otherwise then that lie may not be wrong.

Well, because of my faith, I would say that, yes, lying is wrong. I use to think that lying to say someone looks good when they don't isn't so bad, but it kind of is. If I looked bad, I would want to know so that I could freshen up or buy something different, you know? Also, if the world were to explode because I didn't lie or something, I think that I would have to tell the truth and then lay the rest in God's hands.
