Importance of Money - How important is money to you ?...

yep.. ishould say that money can't means all ink our life,but we acctually can't live without money.. once you want to live in this world , firstly , you must consume somethings arould you ,and by buying this things , you must use money , money is the essential part in our life

Well, I would say that money is decently important to me, considering that I'm on sites to make extra, haha ;) But at the same time, it's not for materialistic things. It's more for travel. I think if I wasn't such a drifter, I wouldn't mind so much because I don't buy things and I'm constantly giving things away or selling them. My friends always say I have no possessions, haha. (I like it that way, though!) So, if I didn't travel... I wouldn't want the money probably.

Yeah kiran8, it's true that we couldn't live without money for we depend on it to acquire our daily necessities. Though I don't spend all my time to pursue it as I'm content with what I have earned that is enough to maintain my daily expenses. I admit that I did work really diligently during my young age to earn more. I think juvenscence stage is the godden period to make money. Of course one needs knowledge, wisdom, insight, etc one than could make big money easily. My son has grown up and can stand on his own legs and there is no more worry to take good care of him. And at the moment I'm happy to see him to enrich himself in all aspects which are relevant to his earning plan and work. Happy posting and have a nice day

There are basic needs of every individual wherein money is needed in order to satisfy them. Perhaps those people saying that they do not need money is because they already have experienced having them. It is important to have money because you cannot move around and sometimes, decisions are hardly done if you do not have money. But, it should no be the be all and the end all of everything. Make money work for you and do not make yourself work around money. Do not be a slave of money.

Hello Kiran First of all thanks for coming up with such a wonderful discussion.Well Let me introduce myself.I am Saurav from India pursuing my B.Tech .My age is 21.Next year I will step into a corporate world of stiff competition and work load with hell lot tension.Probably I will be serving an organization.Why I am telling you all these you will know later.Well I belong to a middle class family.But my dreams very big.I just don't want to die without proving myself.I don't have any monitory problem at all.I get a good pocket money. I know the value of each penny.Sometimes it questions me whether I deserve that money.I am very mad as far as earning money is concerned.I want to serve the poor and also want to fullfill my needs and my moms dreams.Now you will be thinking I am a day time dreamer.Isn't it. But I think that without dream nothing can be achieved because it brings a positive energy into your body,mind and soul to work more.

although money is a necessity, its not that important to me. i visit the library, shop at thrift stores (which i love to do). and am very careful with my money but i am very content with my life.

Money is important to make sure that my family has got food, clothing and some heat in winter. I don't think that money can make anybody happy in the long term. Maybe in the short term if person finds himself rich he/she can be very happy, but the mind soon gets used to this, and the person can often find him/herself in a state of fear that they are going to lose their wealth. _Derek

HI, well... if they have a whole lot of money then I know it is not important to them anymore. However, right now Money is important to me and my family... I need them to make sure my children have food to eat and clothes to wear. the more I get the more that make me happy... Money doesn't buy everything but it make you stay on top of most of the thing around :)

kiran the people who say money does not mean anything are probably really well off as otherwise they would be fools. We have to pay' rent or house payments, pay utilities, pay health insurance, buy food, none of this is free even if you are on a farm you still have bills. but we should also make it just a small part of our life as a lot of things that are good are also free.Without my social security and ssi checks as I am handicapped I would be homeless. my son and I were living together in a 2 bedroom apt when he lost his job just as the US economy went belly up and we bedcame homeless. thats why I am here for now in this retirement center and he is in gov.sponsored housing and has now finally got a job. so yes money is a necessary thing to keep us all in housing. I do not think of money constantly as I have many interests that cost nothing or very little.so right now amassing enough money for first and last month rent and security on a 2 bedroom apgt is in our dreams for later on now. we do have hope now.

Hi Kiran, You're absolutely right about instances mentioned here. Money is important, for me, it depends on how we need it to satisfy our needs. And in my opinion, there's nothing wrong to admit that money is important for as long as we don't go beyond reasonable ways of acquiring it. It still better to have a decent work for money and spend it with a peace of mind and without doing any harm to others. Money helped us to live, but never make it a reason why we live.Happy mylotting.

Money is very important and vital for me. I need money for our daily expenses. Food and water and to pay my monthly dues and bills. Most of us are indeed dependent to money. Although there are still some ethnic tribes on some undeveloped part of the world who doesnt have any need for money. But would you rather want to live there?

Money is important in its own way, but it is merely a tool one uses to live life, one can live a great and better life without money.

Hi Kiran, I think in this fast moving world, money plays a very important role. Take me for instance.I need money everyday to buy food,household stuff,medication,pay the bills and for other various tasks.Money is not only needed to lead a luxurious life but also needed even for a normal, comfortable modest lifestyle.So,overall it's my opinion that money plays a major role in everyone's life,direct or indirectly to upgrade their status in society.

Money is really important in our lives, there's no question with that. It also affects the mood and feelings of most individuals. But there are things that money cannot buy like peace of mind, genuine happiness and true love. That's priceless!

For me money is somehow important. We need food, clothes and shelter for living and this can be achieve by money. But money should not be patronized because as some say, money is the root of all evil right, we people should atleast be responsible for the money that we have in our hands, although you cannot blame those who want it more even they have plenty of it. I guess that makes them superior to others.
