In my mind, it's not Thanksgiving if there isn't a big dish of creamy mashed potatoes (cheese is a plus!). I'm also pretty insistent that there be mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallows and cinnamon sugar, mmm. Baked potatoes can be saved for any other day (actually, not the day after T-day either, leftovers and all :) )

Yes, that's right. If the skin is not well done, it will be hard to bite. My teeth are not so good. So, I always prefer mashed potatoes. Easier and just as tasty too. When I go to restaurants, I always order mashed potatoe as the side item.

Hi Lawrence I prefer mashed potatoes although I do like baked potatoe as well to me mashed potatoes and gravy go better with my Turkey Dinner ,but I don't like a lot of gravy just enough for taste I like the potatoe skin as well I can eat a plain potatoe with just pepper and butter I don't need sour cream ,chives,or salt
