Do you think Oprah's new season measures up to her previous years? Do you think previous seasons were better? Are you disappointed with this season so far? I know for me I am feeling disappointed in this new season but I am not sure why accept maybe I was expecting the wow factor every day and that probably is not realistic!

I have not seen the new season of Oprah at all. I only catch it when I am on vacation or when I work days. That is when I do get to watch Oprah. I know most of the time they are reruns. So right now I hope when I do catch some of the current episodes I won't be disappointed!

Some are good but I guess I was expecting some great every week. I guess that is impossible if I think about it.

Hi 34momma
I'm just curious, What was the animal show about? I haven't watche Oprah in years, not that I dislke her or anything, its just on at a bad time of day for me. Ironically, however, late last night when I was working on my computer, I saw a rerun from I guess that day about a woman with multiple personalities that was raising a child. I turned it on late and had to turn it off early but have to admit that what I saw I found pretty interesting. Wish I had seen the whole thing. In anycase, If anyone can fill me in on how all that turned out, or came to be for that matter, I'd love to hear it and of course I'm curious about the topic of the animal show as well..thanks MyLotters..

I recorded that show you mentioned with the mulitiple personalities but I have not watched it yet. I did record the animal show but deleted it before watching it. Although some of the Oprah shows are good I am still really disapointed. I think I expected her to go outside of her ordinary. But then again some shows I am glad to have seen. Such as the show on women in Jail.

I have not watched her much over the years, and I have not watched every day lately. I feel like it is pretty high powered guests that she is featuring. I feel like she is going over the top with impressive people who are well known in their fields.

Interesting you see it that way. I do to but I am still disappointed. Tere are a lot of over the top guests and of course being her last season it will be even easier to get any guest she wants. Well okay it has never been hard for her to get guests. People are probably bitting at the bit to be on her last season.

I am not disappointed. it's only been a month sense the season started. Like with any show there are topics that i am not interested in. like the whole animal topics. i didn't watch that. but I love Oprah and for the most part she is talking real talk with real people, dealing with every day situations.

I think it was the animal show that really bugged me the most. I am not sure what I expected for a last season. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic. I don't even know what my expectations were or are.

Me too. I think her bringing her sister on the show is just a way to lift ratings. She knew about her sister since last Thanksgiving, yet doesn't bring her on until now? Hmmmm...kinda funny if you think about it. She starts her own network, then suddenly wants to share with the world she has a secret, and they have to watch her show to see it. *yawn* I just waited for the news.
Big crummy deal. It's kinda sad she has to use her own sister to gain publicity again.
