I am underpaid for the education I have. I have an Associate's degree in Business Administration, and I have a diploma in Accounting from a technical college. However, I work in a restaurant for $9/hour. It really makes paying the bills hard from week-to-week...

right now I think it is more job security than anything. At least where I am now, I know that if I show up and do what I am supposed to do, I know I have a paycheck, and the stress level is not really that bad...

I am not unemployed but I am underpaid, a colleague of mine who works the same amount as I do, and she is at the same position is earning double my income, it really hurts, its just that she was beautiful and this helped her through various positions. It really is frustrated that companies who claim to benefit people only according to merit actually bias against employees on their look and physical appearance. I am thinking of enhancing my skills so I could move on.

At the moment, I am a full time student. I'm trying to get my B.A. And i'm not working. It can certainly be very stressful. It's certainly not a situation that I would recommend. It's not easy. All I'm pretty much getting is money from a loan that I have. I'm just lucky that I have family, who are willing to help me out.

I am unemployed... and though I have not been working since only May.. I haven't had what is considered a "good" job in YEARS. I am so tired of working retail, customer service... and now that I'm working on my 3rd degree.. I feel that I shouldn't have to. But, at this point in my life, I am applying everywhere. I have even applied to McDonald's. Where I live, there are really no job opportunities at all.. even for people with post secondary education under their belts.. it gets quite frustrating to receive a phone call from one employment opportunity saying that you are "overqualified" and then receiving one from another that says that I am considered "entry level"... I don't know what to do... I am on sites like Indeed.com, Hotjobs.com... and through the temporary staffing agencies... applying like crazy everyday... just to not have found anything yet. I guess that's why I am desperately on sites like this trying to scrape up a little something..
How has it affected my life?? Horribly. I have been married for almost 3 years and we can't even sustain and maintain a household for each other and our almost 2 year old daughter. It is very stressful and puts a real strain on our marriage. I feel that it will cause the end of it soon if things do not change. I was reading an article the other day that in the past few years, there have been more divorces that have been the results of financial crisis than there has ever been. My heart just goes out to everyone in need at this point in our lives.. and I just pray that God is listening.. I will keep you in my prayers.. Please make sure that you keep me, my husband and my daughter in yours as well... as we are going through the wringer.

I am currently employed as a Data Entry Specialist in one of a call center here in the Philippines, I felt I am underpaid since I have lots of experiences in various fields and even in Data Entry jobs, I'd been a Team Leader also and my salary in a month is not I am expecting. I am trying to look for a job that will pay me in what I supposed to be paid.

I am a student in community college studying business and I work part time on the weekend's 6am to 2pm every Saturday and Sunday.I feel underpaid for the amount of work that i do and i think that people in retail should get paid more than min wage. For the amount of work that i do i feel overcompensated and overworked.I need the money bad to pay for college expenses and to pay of credit card debt and i am willing to suck it up as finding another job in this abysmal economy is extremely difficult.

I have always been underpaid as long as I remember me. If more precisely - I have always felt like underpaid because the way we feel about our situation is more important than what exactly the figures show. (I guess, even among millionaires and billionaires there are people who still feel feel underpaid because they have got some millions less than they possibly could).
But I have never been unemployed in my life except my childhood and the years during studding in a college. In two weeks I will have my first time - I have decided to leave my job after working there six years and I don't have next one. I am really afraid of this step. I am worrying what will happen and will I have managed to get a new job till my unemployment money, funded by the government, will end.
At the same time I consider it's a right choice. People sometimes should jump in a crises - when trying to get out, they develop themselves.

I've never been employed; I'm still in high school and lack experience, and as a result, it seems as though nobody wants to hire me. I have to rely on my parents to pay my phone bill, and I really want to move in with my fiance, who is currently in Memphis. Being 600 miles away from him is hard, but since I have no form of income I can't afford to even go down there to visit, and he won't let me sell anything for money.
