Read a Book recently, said war decides generations

Are we all able to identify our age by which war was happening at the time? WWII, Vietnam, Desert Storm, etc. Just thought this was an interesting topic,let me know what you think.

I think it's a terrible sad thing that we humans can identify the war that was going on in our generation. Lately in the US we have more than just one on going.
