this morning, I brought a ton of books with me for technology class and I suffered quite a lot from it. The books are heavy, and will cost all my life for me to read it.
My concern's why do we have to bring heavy books ?? why don't we use modern technologies like ebooks as the book?
The college should have known about this. Instead of torturing the students, applying technology will be great, you know.

Well, first and foremost, technology gets deleted, obsolete and could be infected with virus. What happens then when your important references goes down the drain because of such incidents?
Further, technology is efficient but it also gives us access to a lot of distractions. Instead of just reading through what's supposed to be read, you'd go wondering around to look for something more 'fun'. Not to mention that the internet gives us the freedom to just slack around because we can find answers anywhere instead of comprehending what we've read all by ourselves.
I think there should be a limit to ease if it means learning more. Not to mention that technology costs more than book printing. Yeah, I know that trees are also saves when we use soft copy, but books saves more on energy use as well.

well, first of all, schools and university are going to implement these (paper-less books). I think this is a good idea. students could even home-schooling rather than going to school. Teachers and students are connected by video conference.
Distractiions through internet will be resulted to their fault. It's their own loss

yeah books these days aren't as tiny as preschool books. Sometimes I don't bring some of the books because it is too heavy. University and especially government should use technology to bring education to us.

This is one of the nice question. why don't we use modern technologies like ebooks as the book? But, most of us are not well versed with the ebooks. Coz, computer is now userfriendly. So, most of us thinks computer is mainly for entertainment than studies.
If this trend changes, we can use those ebooks. Even I have many ebooks, but, I read only a little.

Maybe this will change in the future. Maybe we will have virtual classrooms and use ebooks instead. Since technology improves and changes frequently, the future will probably be full of lazy people who are spoiled by technology.

It's one of the consequence to be more lazy. Beacuse technology told us to, maybe we'll be getting fatter. hehehe.
But, don't you think ebooks are quite handy?? You can bring 1 laptop as an exchange of 100 or more books.

We students should always find accessible ways to find things more easier for us. So why bring all learning materials in school in fact you will find it heavy, the best way for it is to have your laptop or the other way around to have a computer for your research, easy and fast way

hi namdaemun,
ya u got the nice point i too got fed of these heavy books to carry to college if new technology is got introduced then we can store all the data in one book there are many notebooks which will store the data which we write so i hope the new technology will take place instead of this heavy books. But my intention is not against books i know that books are the best friends of a person. and also know that reading nice book is like meeting person of olden days.
bye have a nice day
