Here in my country, salary isn't high. And it's very difficult to save money since prices are going up. I don't think that this place is good enough to live since corruption is too high here.
I just hope that someday corruption will decrease.. there are many people out there suffering from poverty. It's too hard to live life here though i work and work and work.. it isn't enough.
I just can't blame some of the people want to work abroad. (sighs)
I don't want to work in another country but since it takes too long or impossible to make my dreams come true here.. I would just work there if thee's a chance to.

Bit of a joke here in the United States. Obama just signed a bill to create 30,000 new jobs. Problem is you have to apply in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Sorry if any I offended.
I just finished reading Third World America by Arianna Huffington. The number one thing that sticks to my mind is the way the corporations are taking as many fees as they can from US citizens, applying their corporation status in foreign lands for tax purposes, outsourcing positions to other foreign lands, spending as much money as they can to elect their people into office; it just goes on and on.
I'm tempted to wait for the next country to revolt to reapply the freedoms we citizens of the United States used to have. And then flee there and apply for asylum. And citizenship if they are serious in individual freedoms.
Because the United States no longer represents us. Unless you are CEO in some big lobbying business.

Every other country thinks that the United States and all of her citizens are the richest people in the world.
What others don't see is the poverty, homeless, jobless, starving children, and people losing their homes all over our once great country.
I love America, but the hype of us being the richest nation in the world is just that, hype.
We need to take care of our own first, only our politicians don't seem to want to hear our voice anymore, if they ever did.
While our country is giving opportunity, food, medicine, and monetary
assistance to other countries, our people do without.
Poverty is EVERYWHERE...
If America is so rich, then why is our country in so much debt?
You may be waiting a long time for a revolution in another country, or you may just want to stay here and hope for one in our own country.
I don't know, but this is the first time in years that I feel our country is nearly hopeless in digging itself out.

Same here! Saying from environment, air, water, I think my hometown is the best place to live, but I can't find job there, so I have to leave for big city to find job, then work, work, and work, price of everything is rising, just salary doesn't move, there are same things: Corruption, kollusion, officials shield one another...the poorest is the farmers. It seems many countries have the similar problems, so Tess, keep to learn and improve yourself, I believe good life will belong to these struggling poeple.

Hi Thommas, definitely you are right when you are saying China now is having a boost in economic. They have the manpower, they have the resources, unfortunately always remember that the rich gets richer and the poor remains the poor. Jobs like manufacturing such as operators work are getting really low paid, and definitely they are paid for what they do. These are the kinds of job in most countries even in my home country are being paid low and currently no one wants to do the job anymore.
When you see that China is having more and more industries, meaning that they have the pool of workers, who are willing to do this low paid job. By all means this are the jobs that are important to the management, but they are not being appreciated.

Hi, zhcy888, it's very strange to see how our conceptions doesn't correspond with the real situation in particular places. My impression about China now was that the life is improving day by day there. It is one of the rare countries in the world which hasn't suffered from the economic crises and it's economics is growing, tens of thousands of factories are moving to China thus the number of workplaces is increasing rapidly, salaries are multiplying. But it turns out that not everything is so good as newspapers write.

Yes my country (INDIA) is good enough to live. There are problems here as well like any other place but we learn to survive each days and move forward. We are growing in each sphere and thus problems as well. I feel nothing wrong about it. But the way we live with emotion filled life rather then just running after the money, I feel great to be here. Yes given a chance I would like to go to other places but for a while, when it comes to settling down, I know the place is INDIA.

I believe you are one of those millions of individual out there that loves your country and see the best of your country and your condition without comparing what others have and not. If all citizens are like you, definitely the government will be so happy to govern you all. Maybe you haven't seen the poor and those being unfairly treated. But it is good =)

I feel for you. It's the same with my country. Salary is not that high but it depends on the job. Most of the time people prefer the easy way to earn. However, if you want to be highly paid expect more responsibility, sacrifice and even pressure. I knew it.
I'm currently a Manager in our company and it took a lot of perseverance for me to reach the position I'm at now. I just got promoted this month. I've been an employee for three years. I've been a Supervisor for two years before I eventually got promoted as an Account Manager. Most of my co- employees always complain about their salaries. They want to be paid more but they don't want responsibilities. If you will read biographies of successful people you will realize that they did not reach success just by luck. They strive and worked hard for it.
I don't like my country. It's not perfect but I prefer to live, work and die here because it is my land. This is where I was born. My heart is also here. My family and friends are here. I have embraced it's culture, happiness, success, failures and imperfections. I love it despite the fact that sometimes I have heartbreaks for being a part of it and staying here.
However, I admire those who go to another land to reach their dreams and goals. They are brave. I don't blame them. Different people have different dreams and goals in life. As for me, it just so happened that living and working abroad is not one of my dreams and goals in life as of now. However, I'm open to possibilities of going abroad which is not impossible considering the growth open for me in my company. Who am I to decline a good offer as long as they would my family in the package, wink*. Have a nice day Tess!

My country is good enough to live. According to the work we get salary for living. The price of food is rising here too. But still i love my country. Comparing many other nation my country gives great freedom. Also it si a fast developing country. One of problem is over population and hence unemployment is more. But people here are nice . Even though more than 5o religion and more than 50 different languages, people live in harmony here.
I am proud of my nation

Well, you right my friend. Here in our country, is hard to save because of high price of necessities. Even if the government increase salary those businessmen/women increase also prices of their goods and services...
It is useless to have an increased. The best thing to do I think will be the government set prices for good. Because they cannot lessen poverty if they don't control the prices...as prices increases poverty increase also...
Corruption is also one of basic parts of poverty because service that will deliver to the people will only go to pocket of politicians...
I don't know why those corrupt officials in the government. Wanted to feed their family coming from dirty sources...they don't have conscience

Same here!. My country is just like yours, especially my town. To earn more money in these days of poverty, crisis and high prices, I tried to improve my abilities and be special. I had to learn more and to be up to date. There are certain qualities in demand for many jobs, according to the times we live, such as foreign languages, driving licence, special courses etc. Young people can adapt to that if they want to. I thought lately life is like car driving: you have to be always on the spot...

I am sure about my country, very happy with my earnings and living standard. money is not every thing in life, we need to be around our own people who loves us. There are problems in every country and nothing like perfect, there are developed nations and developing nations, so will be difference in life style as well.
I love my country, I love my India

Hi, I bet we live in the same country right? The Philippines is the country where majority of the people live in poverty. We are the number one when it comes to corruption and it's a miracle if it will decrease since our politicians rely on being in politics so that they can amass money in an easy way. If ever I have a chance to live in another country well good because I'll choose to live there with my family. I do not want to waste my taxes in the hands of those greedy with money.

My country, the Philippines can't provide enough good paying jobs for its people. The employment system here is not good. It's very evident to the citizens here that the root of the economy crisis it has been experiencing for so long is corruption. It is not true that the government has no funds to support programs that will create more jobs for the people, the truth is it has a lot funds but its not being allocated on the the programs that will be beneficial to its people. The funds are being corrupted by the politicians. In fact we have the most number of Overseas workers in the world. which simply implies that there are a few GOOD income opportunities. I can't blame these people who rush on grabbing opportunities to work abroad.

I think the way you describe the palce you live is like that the world all over. Its the time of the end of this system of things. Keep praying for Jahovah's kingdom to come upon the earth. That His will will take place upon the earth as it is in heaven. Have faith. Things will change.

Everywhere does the same, not in your country's only. It is all depend on what type of work are you in and education count too. Don't worry, the night is still young and you may get what you want. Visualize it...trust yourself. Happy mylotting.

Well, my limited experience with Philippine people, is that culturally, you are going through a moral break down, similar to what happened in the US in the 70s. Chances are you will eventually rebound from that, just like the US did in the 80s, but the best chance is to regain your morality.
One thing I learned long ago was that politics usually reflects the culture. If the politicians are corrupt, normally the public at large is too.

I don't like living in my country either. I hate the people that are in charge of the goverment. And the wages are very low and right now it's impossible to find a job if you're just out of school and don't have experience. It's like you have to start working very young so you'd have experience and get hired. The only thing I like is there's a chance to get free university education but lots of countries have that and don't have such a bad situation for people to be in, young people as well who should have chances to prove themselves. So yeah, I'd move somewhere else in a second if there was a good chance.
