Management accounting student vs Accountancy student?

I believe that I land a good job today. I was a working student since I entered college. I was assigned as an information clerk before. Today is different. My job is a lot of different than before. I will be graduating as a Management Accounting graduates and my employers assume that I am an expert in my chosen area most especially in accounting field. I was an accountancy student before but I choose to graduate earlier and land for a job quickly so I shifted to management accounting degree. In my university which I currently study, they believe that management accounting is a downgrade than the accountancy students. Is it true? I don't think so.
