Korean Pop boy and girl bands, collectively known as K-POP, is a monstrous phenomenon that is currently sweeping Asia by storm! Super Junior, Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2NE1...I'm sure I'm missed naming a whole lot more. With this deluge of K-POP groups and songs that selling like hotcakes, will it eventually reach a saturation point?

Every genres must be turning to a saturation point, but we don't know when will it. K-POP will be a new and may dominate the world's music industry, as the number of fans and listeners are huge. One thing about K-pop is that they combine dance with music, which I find it quite amusing Take a look at 2AM, their song 'fly to Seoul' becomes the promotion tools to attract tourists. I think k-pop will continue to rise up

i am a big fans of k-pop. and i think i will always be a fans of k-pop.when you hear korean music, you will have a feeling that flows with emotion that reflected from the songs. you heart is touched even when you dont understand the lyrics. i cant find those feeling when i hear western music nowaday. western music has lost their magic compared to old western songs. when i see korean singer, well, not all of them. still there are many korean singers that not really can sing. but many of them are really talented person and totally sings woth their heart so fighting. sarangheyo hanguk saram. na neun tangshin eun sarnghamnida. yongwonhi.

Korea is so fortunate having their music recognized and appreciated by the rest of the world.. I hope Korea could also open doors for other Asian countries for the Western countries to appreciate.

my sisters are k-pop fans. they even watch the Super Junior concert. as long as they have a lot of fans/supporters, then they will last. J-Pop has been there for years and it's still going/growing, so i guess k-pop's the same. :)

How long will K-pop last i guess this question can be answered by this as long as their supporters are there they will continue to be popular. I am not familiar with all the K-pop group but i am glad whenever i heard songs of them. I don't really understand their language but if you will pay attention to the song eventhough you don't understand it you will begin to love them.

Agree, fans are the measure of their longevity. K-Pop is the clearest example that music knows no boundaries and is indeed a universal language. I do hope that other countries could learn from the K-Pop phenomenon. I'm sure each country has a pool of great music artists waiting to break into a wider Asian or perhaps global market.

Hmmm... as long as they have supporters they'd last for a very long time. i think it would be the same as asking how long would the other genre would last, even if it will have its down side it will rise again or it will not really die down. The thing about musicians is that, they try out new things so they'd look refreshing most times, as they try to surprise us.

i think japan has already go international but because the singer with quality is less, than they cant have success like korean singer. however, singer from other countrys have to upgrade their talent if theywant to be success like korean singer. i've seen so many asian singer that only singing a sad melody pop and can't dance. other, can dance but their song arent easy listening. that's why korean still number 1. they have the powerful voice, great songs, and cool dancing.

Interesting... I've never heard of Korean Pop. I will research it as soon as I finish this response. It is fun for me to listen to different forms of music, thanks for this discussion. It seems to me that most things eventually reach a saturation point. That's not a good or bad thing, really, just the changing of times.

I am a k-pop lover reaches to a minute or two that he/she will want to hear other songs as well. It is like a break from korean pop music. but it is only a way of backing up to enjoy the k-pop music again. I have been a long japanese pop music fan as well and up to this very day I still enjoy each song like k-pop. If you have been in love with k-pop even when it is not yet popular in the Philippines then more likely your love for them is infinite.

Well as the saying goes...All good things must come to an end. However, I don't think this one will apply to Kpop. I am a fan of Kpop and I listen to them all the time. I think this craze will go on for a very long time so long as we humans are on Earth.

I feel K-Pop is a trend which will last for a long time. It's uneasy for the music genre to change. And what's more,K-Pop is well welcomed,at this period of time, people would like to have more K-pop songs. But like any other kind of songs, one will replace the other, but all of them will coexist.Even though it will eventually reach a saturation point, one day it will be back.

i think k-pop will surely be there as long as they have a lot of fans and supporters.. i'm not really an obsessed fan of them but i love listening to their songs, even if i can't understand their lyrics,. i don't know, maybe its because of the tune of the songs and how the singers sing it..
