Do you still value the Golden Rule?

In the tough pace of life these days it seems so difficult to find people who value the Golden Rule. I know I cannot practice it all the time but I still value it and try to practice it at all times. Maybe it's worth to remind ourselves and/or someone we know that this Golden Rule still exists. =)

Sometimes living by the Golden Rule can really be difficult especially if you have experienced unjust and unfair life brought by the people around you. But I tried to follow my conscience as much as I can, that way I can have time to think twice and act accordingly, reminding myself to "Treat others as you want to be treated".

i live by the Golden Rule;it has been the principle i've always believed in. my personality is all about equality and being fair so i base my relations on this rule- be it with my friends, family, boyfriend, even with business. i chanced upon a phrase when i was reading one time and it said: if you want something, give it. it has the same concept as the golden rule. never expect anything you can't do for or give others.

As much as possible i stick to the Golden rule. Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.. It just makes a lot of sense to me. Why will i make others feel what i don't want myself to experience.. There's actually one more rule that i apply to myself "WWJD" "What Would Jesus Do". It's almost the same as the Golden rule but it is more meaningful for me and has more value. Before doing something, think if it's of good morale or value, if Jesus would do it them you definitely could as well.

Yes, it is a little difficult to practice the Golden Rule these days. However, I always try to live up to it as much as I can. It's very difficult, especially when people around you seemed to have forgotten it and treat you terribly. In those cases, aside from thinking of the Golden Rule, I also think of karma, and how quickly it can hit you these days.
