How old do people think you are at first glance?

I was out with my mom today and we met her twin friends with a friend in tow. She talked to me and asked whether I was in high school or in college. I told her that I had already graduated. She couldn't believe it. She told me it was a compliment, in a way. I would have to agree. My close friend had told me then too that if she didn't know me, she'd have to say that I looked 16 although I am already 21. lol I wonder why. Do people think you are your age or do they think otherwise? If so, how old do people think you are?

All the people who have tried to guess my age in my life said this to me. If they only look at my face and my body, they will think I'm only between 17 to 20 year old. But if they talk to me first before making a guess, then they think I'm 24 based on the way I talk and my personality. That's what they've been telling me But my real age right now is actually 26 So I'm quite happy that I actually don't look like my age or older than my age. So, I'm thankful You must look so much younger than your age then that some people though you are 16. That is five year difference. Well done and keep it up! Happy mylotting

I guess I do look much younger than I really am. By that, I don't mean I am short. lol I think my facial expressions are also like those of sixteen year olds. It's fine anyway. I don't want to be called old yet. I'd rather be an annoying teen than a bitter old geezer. ;)

When people say i look younger than my age , i really dont take it as a compliment. If your young your underestimated, and in my career as a nurse, being underestimated by your patient may affect your work or efficiency. Im trying to gain some wait to look older, im kinda underweight.

People always guess that I am at least 10 years younger than i really am. it makes me happy now when that mistake is made. It used to annoy me when I was younger.

hello lynlypiochy! i was often mistaken to be so much younger than my actual age, that was why i wear glasses for the additional reason that it lends me a more matured look, which is necessary in the kind of work i am in. Nowadays, i am still mistaken as 25 years old instead of my actual 37 years. i kind of get flattered sometimes but sometimes, it also ires me since younger people often treats me like a peer, instead of being an elder. they think i am just about their age.

Major whoa! You really look that young? Congratulations! Yeah, it is probably a downside in the work setting. But you could also use it as an upside, somehow.

people would think i'm a high schooler or someone who just started college when i've already graduated from either. my brother who just entered college came to a resolve that he'd grow some weight cause when he goes to college everyone is bigger than him he says. Well, I guess it depends on the genes a person has and how he/she handles his/her body.. i think. Some would look older than they actually are and some are younger and some are just about right.

I have an older brother and a younger brother. When I was a kid, they thought I was the eldest child. Now that we're grown up, they thought I was the youngest offspring. lol

I normally get somewhere around 18 or 19 and I'm 24 now. I'm very short (4' 11'') and have a very young face thanks to being Asian. While in college I got in as a child to the zoo. Sometimes it pays to look younger, lol.

Ever since I was 20, and still now people tell me I look about 25. Luckily, I am 25 this year so I think it's starting to balance out. First I would get a little mad. But now that I am 25, I don't mind at all. Peace!

lol. That reminds me when I was in high school people used to ask me whether I was in college but now when I have completed graduation they ask me in which class am I. I was quite chubby when I was in high school and didn't use to meet much people. I was a big time introvert. Since now I am a changed person I guess that reflects in my personality as well. But the first impression that people have of me is that I am haughty. Though my close friends and people who know me really laugh at the idea. I still don't open up with people usually during the first meet, that must give them the inkling of me being haughty though I am really NOT..

I am 32 years old and everybody's predicts my age to be around 25-26 years of age. I always take it as a compliment. That could be due to my slim physique.

people ask me all the time "if i'm allowed to work at my job" meaning i look to young. some think i'm 16-18. i thought that all would change once i got my hair cut about a year and a half ago. but no. still asking me my age, and think i'm lying when i say i'm 21. lol thats a compliment and good in the long run!

hello,i think i have the similar experiences to you.. When i come to a party, my father's friend ofen ask me ----Are you a junior or senior high school student?,,then my father will feel funny, and laugh ,and tell them that i'm about a sophomore..i don't know how to say, just a little bit surprised.. The second time surprised me most,,when i take a taxi and i haven't close the door well, then the driver said --moppet,please close the door .....,,but i'm already not a kid.. however , some kids will call me aunt, and i also feel upset and uneasy, cause i getting older in their eyes.

I'm 19 and hardly anybody guesses my age right. In my case it's kind of a curse... because people tend to guess that I'm 3-5 years older than I really am. Granted, they still think I'm in my mid-twenties which is still pretty young. But the last thing I want is for people to think I'm already 30 when I reach 25.

a lot of people said I looked like 24 or 25.I am turning 27 this October, and a lot of people still think I am young.one colleague of mine even thought that I am a fresh graduate and asked if my current job is my first job.a friend of my mom thought I am just a college student when in fact I was already 24 at that time.I take it as a compliment, and it is my plan to look young and fool people about my age.

People usually think I am younger than what I am. It usually happens when I tell them I went to school with so and so or tell them that they graduated a couple of years before me. People think I'm about 5 years younger than I actually am.

Hahah. People would think I'm way older. Back when I was 13 people would think I'm a college student which is I don't know if a compliment or not because I don't know if they meant I look 'mature' or I literally look 'old' lol. Anyways, I turned 16 and people thought I'm over 20. Lol.
